Hollywood apparently can’t wait for Halloween! Not only has Vanessa Hudgens been dressing up in spooky outfits all month long, including a witch-tastic nod to The Craft, but Rumer Willis is now channeling her inner Poison Ivy with a brand new hair color reminiscent of the DC supervillain’s.
The usually raven-haired beauty took to Instagram to show off her brand new ‘do, now a gorgeous shade of red.
She alluded to the new shade with lyrics to the song “Poison Ivy” by Rolling Stone, writing, “She comes on like a rose, and everybody knows, she’ll get you in dutch. You can look, but you better not touch. Poison ivy, poison ivy, well late at night when you’re sleeping, Poison Ivy comes creeping around…”
While it’s slightly less red than the bright hue Uma Thurman rocked for the role back in 1997 in Batman & Robin, it’s still quite the drastic change, particularly for the Dancing With the Stars alum, who made the transition from jet black.
“Black to red,” hairstylist Christopher Pierce wrote on his Instagram page. “Color remover, bleach, and more bleach.”
The result was a gorgeous shade of auburn that’s pretty much perfect for fall — not to mention Halloween! All Willis, 29, needs is a a little green makeup and a green bustier, and she’s got a built-in costume come October 31.
