Homesick? These Candles Will Make You Feel Right at Home
As many of us move around the country, whether for school or for work, we always miss home no matter how long we’ve been gone. Now that school’s getting underway across the country, there’s no doubt that many of us are feeling that sting of homesickness. But have no fear, as Homesick Candles can take away your woes while decorating your new apartment or dorm room.
Made out of soy, the Homesick Candle Co. is hoping to tap into our love of home and bring that feeling back with strong scents to remind us of where we come from. The Georgia candle (above) is a mix of sweet tea and peaches, while Texas smells of leather, cotton and fresh sage.
The candles, which burn between 60-80 hours, come nicely packaged and will match with any decor. Currently, the company offers 30 states, but is looking to roll out each additional state in the coming months.
Wondering what the company thinks New Jersey smells like? According to the company, it’s “reminiscent of the Jersey Shore,” whatever that means. Obviously, states like Florida, with its oranges, and Cali, with its seaside and flowers, make sense. We can’t wait to sniff what each candle smells like.
Are you feeling homesick after a big move? Tell us about it @BritandCo!
