This New Website Will Pay You to Curate Cool Trips for Others
The beauty and the beast of taking an amazing vacation is all about the research. Do a fair amount of trip planning beforehand and you’ll be able to hit the ground running straight after clearing customs. But planning also happens to be one of the most overwhelming elements of travel, with the Internet’s limitless options. Do you trust that blogger from Pinterest? Or the endless forums on Trip Advisor? It’s always a gamble. If you want a curated trip that doesn’t suck OR you want to be the curator, TRVL is your new wanderlust-loving BFF.
As an added incentive, it’s free for the traveler. TRVL is able to qualify for discounted agency rates on booked trips. The traveler pays the same fare they’d find by booking things directly and the difference is paid by the hotel, airlines and car rental companies to TRVL and the agents. This means you could also book your OWN trip through TRVL, act as both the traveler and agent, and get paid (or really, money back off your journey).
But how much money can you really make? On the site’s home page they offer a few examples of trips and payouts. For a two-person, three-night trip to NYC, an agent can make $100 in commission. For a four-person, seven-night trip to Mexico, you can make $250. And for a two-person, 14-night trip to Europe, it would be close to $450.
