Bad News If You Bid on That $1200 Rainbow Highlighter

The roller coaster that is the saga of the Prism Rainbow Highlighter goes on. After going viral, some very bright person decided to list the highlighter on eBay for a whopping $1,225. We were just as shocked as you to see such a high price tag, but with a limited edition, in-demand product (and well, rainbows are just so hot right now, ok?), it didn’t come as that much of a surprise. What IS coming as a surprise, however, is what creator Bitter Lace Beauty announced via Instagram.

It looks as though Bitter Lace listened and wants to make sure as many people as possible can get their hands on this gorgeous, handmade makeup. In an Instagram post, the company announced limited restocks on the Prism Highlighter:

Hey there beauties! We have some important updates before our Prism release tomorrow…you can now go to bitterlacebeauty.com to find our new website (Link is in our bio) we will only be releasing Prism (Friday April 29th 12 noon EST) the rest of our shades are going to be released in a massive restock that will come at a later date. We are limiting 1 Prism per purchase…I know this might be upsetting but please realize we mean well by doing this, being a handmade item we have limited quantities during our releases and want everyone to be able to snag one until we are able to expand. You asked and we are now going to deliver! …We are so excited for some more of you to snag prism!!! Thank you for all the love and support.

We hope you didn’t bid (or win) the $1,200 prism auction, considering you can still pay $22 for the rainbow highlighter directly from the company, when their restocks happen (the newest restock already sold out according to their Instagram).

Nice try there, eBay lister!
