“Nashville” Star Clare Bowen Just Tied the Knot With Brandon Robert Young
Fans of Nashville’s Scarlett O’Connor had reason to rejoice this weekend — the actress behind the character, Clare Bowen, is a single lady no more!
The Aussie star took to Instagram yesterday to share the happy news that she was moments away from walking down the aisle with her longtime love, Brandon Robert Young.
“Watching the sunrise,” she wrote. “Wearing the blanket I was born in wrapped when I was born around my shoulders. Gonna go marry my soulmate now.”
While we’ve yet to get a peek at the actual nuptials, the country crooner DID offer up several glimpses at the events leading up to her big day, including her bachelorette party the night before.
After “being kidnapped” and boarding a waiting boat, the bride-to-be set sail with her gal pals for a sunset cruise, which included plenty of Champagne and (unicorn-shaped!) cake.

She also gave us some insight as to just HOW significant the big day would be for her, revealing that this was a day she never thought would come.
“My parents waltzing their way through @sydneyairport to come help me do all the things I never thought I’d do, because I never thought I’d get married, because that was something that happened to other people,” Bowen, 33, shared. “I really had no interest in it at all… then @brandonrobertyoung turned up and turned everything upside down and this photo is emotional napalm and I get to see them tomorrow and I’m not crying, you’re crying.”

Also on hand was the CMT star’s younger brother, Timothy James Bowen, who was diagnosed with stage 4 lymphoma and given two weeks to live right after the couple got engaged onstage at the Grand Ole Opry in 2015. “It was four days after we got engaged that we found out that Tim was so sick, so we put everything on hold because we couldn’t imagine having a wedding without him being able to be there,” she previously told the Daily Telegraph.
Two years later, Timothy is in remission and able to celebrate with his big sis, who herself was diagnosed with cancer of the kidneys and given two weeks to live at age four. Talk about a happy ending!
