Here’s How Zosia Mamet Kept Her Wedding Secret
Not all brides feel the need to share their every wedding detail with the world, as Girls star Zosia Mamet goes to show us. Sometimes, a little privacy makes a special day all the more special. Which is part of the reason why Zosia Mamet opted to keep her engagement and wedding secret from the press.
While on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert, the Girls star admitted that she kept her engagement secret (in fact, after the last time she was on the show, she was shopping for her wedding dress), AND she managed to keep the wedding a secret as well. How, you ask? By simply not sharing details with anyone outside her inner circle. That means only her immediate family and a few trusted friends even knew the couple was engaged. By simply trusting those around her, she was able to keep the wedding secret.
Now that the wedding is done, however (the couple got married in November), she’s happy to share more details, including her black Givenchy wedding dress and friend-made wedding favor tattoos. As to the reason why she wanted to keep the wedding a secret, she said, “We just wanted it to be our thing.”
