Krispy Kreme Just Introduced the Holiday Donut of Your Dreams… But There’s a Catch
Krispy Kreme has a knack for taking a good thing and making it even BETTER. Take the Nutella- donuts they introduced in the UK back in April, for instance, or the limited edition birthday cake donuts they gifted us with in June. Now, after ushering in a pumpkin spice flavor for fall, they’re getting into the holiday spirit with a beloved Christmas flavor that has us feeling merry and bright: Gingerbread Glazed!
In celebration of National Gingerbread House Day (yes, it’s a thing!) the company is introducing a new twist on an old classic with a cinnamon and ginger-flavored donut delight reminiscent of the sweet treats of your childhood — but you’ll have to act fast to get it.
For just one day, you’ll be able to snatch up the Gingerbread Glazed Donut — a perfect circle of spiced gingerbread dough with a topping of gingerbread molasses glaze. As Jackie Woodward, the company’s chief marketing officer explained, “We take the holiday fun of gingerbread houses and celebrate it with the never-ending fun of original glazed donuts.”
It certainly sounds like a win-win to us! Count us in as gingery guinea pigs, please! Grab yours on December 12 at participating Krispy Kreme locales.
