A New Thrill Ride Is Coming to Universal’s Wizarding World of Harry Potter
The Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Studios is basically a muggle’s dream come true, offering magical experiences and delicious treats (mmm, cauldron cakes) for wannabe wizards of all ages. And now they want to add a little (or a lot!) of extra adventure to the mix with a brand-new ride that will have any thrill-seeker scheduling their trip ASAP.
The ride that must not be named (or at least doesn’t seem to have a name yet) is being created by the award-winning Universal Creative team in collaboration with Warner Bros. and the production design team from the Harry Potter films. It will replace the Dragon Challenge, which closes September 4.
According to Universal Orlando Resort’s blog, the new “coaster” will allow you to “encounter some of your favorite characters and creatures” and combines “a new level of storytelling with an action-packed adventure” and “a few surprises along the way.”
While details are still scarce, we can tell you that the new thrill ride will be opening sometime in 2019, so you have plenty of time to save up for what is sure to be a magical vacation experience.
