This Phone Charger Lets You Use 9-Volts as Your Ultimate Backup
We all know that sinking feeling of seeing our phone’s battery at 6%. Our thumbs quickly click and swipe away to turn down the screen brightness and exit out of all the apps that were idly left open all day. But just as we’re about to shut down our last app — our phones die. So we frantically search our purses for our external battery packs until we realize… ugh, forgot it at home… again. The duo behind this Kickstarter also knows that feeling all too well, which is why they’ve come up with a backup plan — Plan V.
Plan V (as in the letter V, not the Roman numeral) is the jumper cable of phones. It’s a keychain that has a lighting cable/micro USB on one end and a plug for a 9-volt battery on the other. So when you need that extra emergency battery power for your phone, stop by a gas station or local convenience store for a pack of 9-volts and you can jump start your phone immediately. Each 9-volt battery charge will allow up to four hours of talk time on your phone.
