Puma Is Offering a Major Discount on Leggings to United Customers
The age-old battle of whether or not leggings qualify as appropriate bottoms came to a head recently when United Airlines barred two young pass-travel customers (standby travelers affiliated with a United employee) from boarding a plane for wearing the stretchy pants.
Well, there may be a silver lining to the controversy. Puma is stepping up with a discount that’s equal parts clever marketing and an awesome show of support.
We fly in our leggings. Bring your @United ticket to any US PUMA store for 20% off leggings. Now until April 9. Stay Fly. #DoYou pic.twitter.com/R0gymEDImx

On Tuesday, the company tweeted that it would give a 20 percent discount off its leggings to customers who brought in their United Airlines tickets to the store through April 9.
The tweet doesn’t specify whether its tickets from past or future trips that qualify, but we’re assuming it includes any and all. After all, it sounds like Puma simply wants you to be comfortable in any setting YOU deem appropriate.
There’s certainly plenty to choose from, with printed cropped All Eyes on Me 3/4 Leggings ($45), Lace-Up Leggings ($45), and Evolution Mesh Insert ($50) styles to boot. Take a peek online here, then head to your local Puma locale to get your discount.
As if we needed an excuse to buy more leggings!
