Watch Taye Diggs Play Puppy Matchmaker for Your Favorite Celebs

We thought we couldn’t love Taye Diggs any more than we already did, but then he showed up at our office with puppies — just in time for Valentine’s Day! The actor, singer, and children’s book author is working with pet food company Royal Canin to help fellow dog lovers find the perfect puppies for their lifestyle, so we asked him to play a little game of puppy matchmaker with us.

Diggs says it’s important to think not just about how cute the puppy is — which is irrelevant anyway, since ALL puppies are adorable — but also about how the dog will fit into your home and your life. If you have a cozy apartment in the city, for example, you may not want to adopt a St. Bernard, as they can outgrow a small space pretty quickly.

And size is just one of several factors to consider. According to the experts at Royal Canin — who created a quiz to help people find their perfect pets — it’s important to think about your lifestyle (how busy you are, how physically active you are, etc.), your family needs (allergies, kids, etc.), and the level of grooming a dog would require.

We asked Diggs to think about all of those things and “chews” some puppies for a few of our favorite celebs, including Meghan Markle, Vanessa Hudgens, and Chrissy Teigen. We also threw in a couple of our favorite TV characters, just for fun.
