The ‘Marvelous Mrs. Maisel’ Season 2 Release Date and Trailer Are Here!
Midge is back! Amazon has announced the release date and first look at the highly anticipated season 2 of its hit show, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel.
The second season of the dramedy from Gilmore Girls creator Amy Sherman-Palladino will return to Amazon’s video streaming service on Wednesday, December 5.
Season 2, which will consist of 10 episodes, picks up one year after Miriam “Midge” Maisel (Rachel Brosnahan) separated from her husband and took to the stage to prove she was the real comedic talent in the relationship.
Now, she and her manager Susie (Alex Borstein) have their sights set on making the rising comedian a star, despite the fact that she’s still keeping her stand-up life hidden from her friends and family — and in the wake of her controversial takedown of beloved comedian Sophie Lennon (played by Jane Lynch).
“We left Midge in a pretty triumphant moment,” Brosnahan said at a Television Critics Association event this summer. “She’s finally arrived into Mrs. Maisel, the stand-up comedian. I can’t say a whole lot about where she’s headed in season 2, but good things can’t last long.”
The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel scored a whopping 14 2018 Emmy nominations and eight major wins for its breakout first season. Amazon ordered two seasons of the show before it ever even aired, and in May, a third season was greenlit as well.
Check out season 2 of The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel on Amazon starting Wednesday, December 5.
