Chrissy Metz is no stranger to epic responses, so when she heard that she snagged one of This Is Uss 11 Emmy nominations for her portrayal of Kate Pearson, the sheer sweetness in her reaction should have come as no surprise. Alas, the Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series nominee melted our hearts nonetheless.

As she described to Entertainment Weekly, after waking up early to watch Venus Williams win in Wimbledon’s semifinals round, Metz tried not to think about the Emmys at all. Then, it was all she could think about. Her first thought upon hearing her name — “Oh my god, guys!” — was quickly followed by “Are we sure that’s correct?” and then, “My mom’s going to be so relieved.”

Hours after nabbing the nomination, Metz was still buzzing. “I don’t even know which earrings to put on right now. I don’t know!” she told EW.

And her high wasn’t only a product of her own nomination. On costars Sterling K. Brown and Milo Ventimiglia scoring nods in the Lead Actor category, Metz said, “When I heard Sterling and Milo’s name, I can’t even tell you — I was like, starting to tear up… I think Milo for me was just like… It really meant a lot.” The actress was “bummed,” though, about Mandy Moore’s snub for Lead Actress.

Moore, for her part, was overjoyed for her castmates, tweeting, “I am unbelieving proud of my #thisisus fam! Congrats @sterlingkb1, @ChrissyMetz, @MiloVentimiglia and #roncephasjones! Wowowowow!”

Meanwhile, Brown — who won an Emmy in 2016 for his role on American Crime Story: The People v. O.J. Simpson — sounds just as excited as Metz. “Maaaaan, I got the best job on TV! Receiving this nomination is just the cherry on top. Thank you, Television Academy!” he said in part of a statement reacting to the honor.
