When Anna Faris and Chris Pratt separated after eight years of marriage this past August, their fans were devastated. Now, just two months later, the actress has opened up about the status of their relationship post-split, and what she has to say may make you fall in love with these two all over again.
“We’ll always have each other and be incredible friends,” Faris told People in a new interview, where she chats about life, love, and her new book, Unqualified, which is set to be released on October 24 and includes a foreword written by Pratt.
“There is still so much laughter in our lives together, and he is so proud of me, still,” she continued. “We watched each other grow, and he still cracks me up all the time. And I think I crack him up — unless he’s a really good actor and great at faking laughter.” (He is a really good actor, but we have no doubt that she genuinely cracks him up with her comedic ways.)
The 40-year-old Mom star also addressed the fact that fans had such an emotional reaction to the news of their breakup. “It’s understandable that people seemed so invested in our happiness together,” she told People. “All I can say about that is, it’s all true, that we truly adore each other, and we love each other, I think it still comes through.”
As far as her book goes, she has no regrets when it comes to the part penned by Pratt, though she did worry initially about the “crazy timing” of its release. “I am so grateful that [Pratt] contributed to the book,” she shared with the mag. “Chris and I are really great friends, and I think that we always will be.”
