Beauty Editor Approved: The 2 Mascaras We Can’t Live Without
Mascara, mascara, mascara! It’s the one beauty product that lots of ladies say they absolutely can’t live without. There’s something about having long, thick lashes that instantly elevates your look and makes your eyes pop. It’s hard to find the ideal formula because there are so many. So here are two mascaras that Misty and I swear by, to help you cut through the noise and achieve your best eyelashes ever.
I have to admit: It was hard for me to narrow down my answer to one favorite mascara, because I keep several in steady rotation. For me, it came down to the product I can always count on to deliver curl, length and serious staying power. That mascara is Benefit Cosmetics Roller Lash Curling & Lifting Mascara ($24). It is just the best. After I curl my lashes, this formula locks the curl in place, lengthens my lashes and coats them in an inky black color that doesn’t smudge. It’s not the easiest to remove — that’s the only thing I’d warn you about — but I’ve found that using DHC Deep Cleansing Oil ($28) takes it all off with ease.
MISTY’S FAVORITE MASCARA
“I’m obsessed with 100% Pure Fruit Pigmented Ultra Lengthening Mascara ($25) in Blackberry. The pigment is a deep eggplant purple made from black tea, berry and cocoa. It goes on really smoothly, fluffing out my lashes as well as making them extra long. It lasts all day, doesn’t get flakey and leaves my lashes feeling soft and natural, which I love. The best part about it is that it smells like candy. I literally make people smell my eyelashes! It comes off quickly with face wash.”
