Former Destiny’s Child Singer LeToya Luckett Is Engaged!
This is how you put a ring on it! Former Destiny’s Child singer LeToya Luckett is jumpin’, jumpin’ for joy these days. While Beyoncé basks in the bliss of her baby twins, her childhood friend is celebrating some good news of her own: her engagement!
Luckett (an original member of DC with Bey, Kelly Rowland, and LaTavia Roberson) made the big announcement via Instagram just hours after her love, Dallas entrepreneur Tommicus Walker, popped the question at a party that *she* planned for *his* birthday. This is one guy who certainly knows how to turn the tables in an incredibly romantic way.
The special moment was caught on video by Luckett’s brother. In the clip, which he posted to Instagram, the singer-actress is visibly overcome with emotion as her bae gets down on one knee. Though it’s a little hard to hear what he’s saying as he asks her to marry him, her response is obvious: YES!
Later in the video, he appears to have a little trouble getting the ring on her finger, but the bride-to-be assures him, “I got it!” Love. It.
There are also glimpses of the couple’s overjoyed family, including Walker’s young daughter, who was obviously thrilled to be part of the special day.
Luckett shared a shot of her ring via Instagram, and it’s gorgeous. “I said, ‘Yes yeeeesssss’ on his Burfday!! #issaengagement#GodShowedout#HesaGoodManSavanah#LoveWins#8/16/17,” she captioned the photo.
The happy news comes a year after Luckett divorced her husband of two months. It’s clear from her joy that this lady is ready to move on and truly find her happily-ever-after.
