These Weird Gloves Let You Carve Wood and Stone With Your Fingers
When it comes to carving, you’ve got pumpkins, turkey and even soap down, but carving wood and stone is a whole different ballgame. If you’ve tackled it before, then you know how labor-intensive and meticulous it can be. Now there’s a glove that will help you sculpt these materials faster than ever, and with a lighter, more innovative touch.
Happaratus, as it’s cleverly called, is a graduation project from Morten Grønning Nielsen, a Royal College of Art graduate. His invention uses the hand and fingers you already have to help create whatever your imagination can dream up.
Applying different pressures results in different sculpting techniques; the harder you push, the deeper the sculpt. It’s useful for not only artists, but also carpenters, furniture refinishers and more.
