iPhone Users Beware: This Video Will Crash Your Phone
We are major iPhone fans. We’re already looking forward to next year’s iPhone 8. The iPhone has had its share of problems though, and Apple has made some questionable decisions (Home button, anyone?). Many of us can ignore a lot of the problems that certain phones have because we simply don’t have that model, but a new bug that popped up is taking no prisoners, no matter which iPhone you have.
There is a five-second video that will lock up and freeze your iPhone. All you have to do is click on the MP4 file. Eek! The problem isn’t permanent though — just perform a hard reset (hold down the power button and Home button), and when your phone reboots, it will be good as new. That’s certainly a relief, but we still want to know how on Earth a simple video can cause such a huge problem. If you have friends who enjoy a good prank, you might want to look out for any video files they send you until Apple has fixed the issue. Because restarting your phone can get annoying — we’re supposed to remember our unlock code?!
