Kim K and Kanye Are Taking the Rest of the Year Off
We can learn a lot from the Kardashians — like how to be famous for being famous, how to run business empires and how to be beyond extra, just to name a few. But we can also learn a few things about mental health. After an unreal year of trials and tribulations (yep, we’re talking about Kim’s robbery and Kanye’s breakdown), the super famous pair have reportedly decided to take the rest of the year off and really, you can’t blame ‘em.
Being a fabulously famous family may seem like all glitter and glam from the outside, but keeping up appearances is a full-time job for the Kardashians. Conducting business, feeding social media, hitting up events, doing interviews, filming their reality series, performing at shows… it all seems like fun, but to maintain the level of celebrity this group does certainly takes a toll on the individuals themselves, as well as the family as a whole. That’s why Kim and Kanye have apparently decided that enough is enough — at least for now.
According to Page Six, a source close to the family says that the Kardashian-Wests “plan on taking the rest of 2016 off and spending time as a family,” and though Kanye is “stable… [he] needs time to come back.” Totally understandable. Being a celebrity may make people seem larger than life at times, but it certainly doesn’t make them immune from the hardships of being human. It’s been a rough go for the fam lately, so we absolutely sympathize with the need to step back and reconnect.
Take your time and get well, Kardashian-Wests!
