Whether you鈥檙e going for pastel hues or more natural shades (ecaille anyone?!), coloring your hair can be a fun way to聽express your personal聽style. We鈥檝e talked about the dyed armpit hair trend,聽rocking聽the聽colored mascara聽look and we聽even spotted some聽rainbow roots聽on last year鈥檚 runway. But this new hair trend takes a new, ultra-minimalist approach to color.

Yes, we鈥檙e talking dyed roots, but like nothing you鈥檝e ever seen before. We spotted this聽eye-catching hairstyle on the聽Libertine runway show at New York Fashion Week. Rather than sporting聽color on their聽long locks, the聽Libertine models rocked a bright stripe on their hair part.

Known for their rave, punk and street looks,聽Libertine聽is an聽LA-based fashion house that isn鈥檛 afraid to push boundaries. This season, their聽women鈥檚 look is聽all about 鈥60s inspired outerwear, leather jackets and mini dresses with burst of colors, patterns, cartoons and French typography. There is A LOT going on in their聽collection, but the聽stripe of hair color really pulls it all together, not to mention adds a nice聽pop of color to the dance party in the show鈥檚 finale.

This look is a surreal, cartoonish and fun聽way to show off your favorite colors. While we don鈥檛 see this becoming part of our聽everyday look, we think this could be an easy way to add some unexpected聽detailing to your聽party or music festival look.
