Lyft Is Testing a “Taco Mode” Option to Take You to Taco Bell
Lyft is taking some extra steps to prove that they know what their customers want. After first teaming up with Starbucks so that you can earn free drinks during your commute to work (which is pretty awesome, BTW), Lyft is now testing an option that will allow you to request a stop at Taco Bell if you’re feeling hungry on your way to your desired destination.
Aptly named “Taco Mode,” Lyft’s new feature will also allow you to pay for your food via Lyft’s app. It’s available from 9pm to 2am, so if you get a craving for tacos after a wild night out on the town with your besties, Lyft and Taco Bell have your need for food covered.
“We enjoy bringing new experiences to life for our passengers, and Taco Mode allows them to extend the night in a way that hasn’t been done before,” Melissa Waters, Lyft’s head of marketing, said in a statement, according to Mashable. “We’re combining two of our passengers’ favorite activities — a night out with friends and enjoying Taco Bell — which means there is even more of the night to love.”

Taco Mode is currently available only in Orange County, California while it’s being tested and perfected (from July 27-29 and August 3-5), but it will launch in wider markets by the end of the year and become available across the country in 2018.
Mmm, tacos!
