It鈥檚 only been a few weeks since NBC鈥檚 This Is Us dealt the devastating blow of Jack Pearson (Milo Ventimiglia)鈥檚 death and heartbreaking funeral. As the family begins to carry on, the penultimate episode of season 2 will feature a loving look back at happier times for the family.

On the Tuesday, February 27, episode, called 鈥淰egas, Baby,鈥 the show鈥檚 past-tense timeline will show Jack and Rebecca (Mandy Moore) a few years into being married and feeling a little worse for the wear thanks to parenting three young children.

鈥淲e come to the point where we don鈥檛 necessarily want to go through all of the hoopla and maybe just have a quiet night in 鈥 and the kids have another idea together,鈥 Moore told EW. 鈥淚t definitely is a lighter episode, and I think it will definitely be bittersweet, knowing what we鈥檝e just gone through with these characters.鈥

With only two episodes left in the season, Moore also said that they鈥檒l be taking a break from mourning Jack鈥檚 death. 鈥淲e鈥檙e going to go back in time a little bit and we鈥檙e going to stay more present-day,鈥 she said. 鈥淏ut we鈥檙e not going to revisit the immediate aftermath of this funeral in season 2.鈥

As Ventimiglia previously聽assured fans, his character won鈥檛 actually be going anywhere, and the upcoming episode is a promising glimpse into the way he鈥檒l live on in the show. 鈥Jack Pearson lives in all of our hearts,鈥 the beloved TV patriarch tweeted after his death on the show. 鈥淗e鈥檚 you. He鈥檚 me. He鈥檚 us鈥 And this isn鈥檛 the end of Jack. Stay tuned.鈥
