This Is Your First Look at Rebel Wilson in Guys and Dolls
If you’re beyond bummed to have missed Rebel Wilson (AKA one half of the best MTV Movie Awards kissers EVER) as Ursula in the live version of The Little Mermaid, never fear: Our gal’s not done with the stage just quite yet.
Taking to Instagram to show off her latest theatrical makeover, the Pitch Perfect star posted this smashing poster of herself all dolled up — literally — for her stint as Miss Adelaide in Guys and Dolls.
Once again, we’re blown away by her transformation: Rebel looks stunning! Performing at the Phoenix Theatre in London (run dates are June 28 to August 21 with tickets starting at roughly $20), Rebel’s time in the Dolls spotlight will be short-lived, as she’ll soon be off to film Pitch Perfect 3, but the role was an important one for her, as she explained to Glamour magazine.
“A lot of people who know me from my more recent film work have no idea how much theatre has influenced by life,” she told the outlet. “I saw my first musical at age 14, a show called 42nd Street, after one of my family’s dogs unsuccessfully auditioned to be in it. It blew me away and I’ve loved musical theatre ever since.”
Leave it to Rebel to have a hilarious story for becoming a theatre geek! Ultimately, the part sounds like a dream come true, as can be seen in this shot of her first rehearsal just a few weeks back.

“So excited!” she captioned the pic. “Never danced in heels though.” We’re not too worried — we’ve got a sneaking suspicion that anyone that can pull off an evil sea witch the way Rebel did will be jusssssttt fine.
“Hopefully I crush it,” she said to Glamour, “but you’ll have to come see me to find out.” Fair enough!
