This Hot New Beauty Trend Isn’t So New
Once again, a new beauty trend is upon us, and of course, we are all on board. Okay, so maybe *new* is a misnomer — after all, we’re all already tea fans here. Remember when juicing was a huge thing and everyone was doing it? Take a pause from working the Vitamix and meet “beauty teas,” the latest craze that beauty blogs and celebs like Britney Spears and Kylie Jenner can’t stop talking about. With new tea shops taking over our cities and making a wave in the food and beauty industry, it’s hard not to want to jump on this train.
The best thing about this trend is that you might have the key ingredient in your cupboard already. The only difference between beauty teas and regular ol’ teas are a few extras, like elderflower, which give your body a party from the inside out.
The combo of ingredients is supposed to make you sleep better, improve your skin and possibly experience weight loss. Each tea is designed to treat different areas. For instance, if you want to rejuvenate your skin, try using white or rooibos teas, while green or white teas full of EGCG, a powerful antioxidant, are very good for your metabolism. The nice thing about this trend is that it’s not supposed to replace your daily meals, so you can keep snacking to your heart’s content.
You can buy beauty teas from companies like Fit Tea or Sakura Life. Sure, this beauty trend might seem too simple, but maybe that’s exactly what we need. Life can get chaotic, and if one cup of tea can serve as our new beauty therapist without killing our wallets, then we’re all about it.
