The 4 Best Apple TV+ Shows To Watch In September 2025

Apple TV+

Apple TV+ is home to some of the best shows that are currently airing on television. It’s certainly one of the less popular streaming apps compared to its competitors, such as Netflix and HBO Max, but there’s no denying how underrated the programs on this streaming service are. It has everything from Severance to The Morning Show, and I, for one, label this app as the home of prestige television.

With this in mind, here are all the upcoming TV shows you can binge before September is over. Which show are you most looking forward to?

Rose Byrne and Seth Rogen in Platonic Season 2 on Apple TV+

Platonic (Season 2) — Stream on Apple TV now.

Ah, the age-old question… Can (straight) men and women ever really be friends? No, like really friends. Not like in When Harry Met Sally, when they think they can handle a platonic relationship, yet everything falls to pieces when they eventually sleep together. But is it possible for a man and a woman to actually be besties without romantic feelings bubbling to the surface? The short answer is, of course, they can. But with this in mind, it’s a pretty rare occasion when friendships that are as close as Sylvia and Will can remain platonic, without some attraction and romantic tension getting involved in the mix… right? Find out in season 2 of the acclaimed comedy series, which has new episodes airing now, as well as through the month of September.

Reese Witherspoon in The Morning Show season 4 on Apple TV+

The Morning Show (Season 4) — Stream on Apple TV now.

The Morning Show is a personal favorite of mine, due to its thoughtful premise, pristine cinematography, and stellar acting chops by big names like Steve Carell, Jennifer Aniston, and Reese Witherspoon. The series follows the cancellation of seasoned Morning Show host Mitch Kessler, following a series of sexual misconduct allegations placed against him. The show is speculated to be loosely based on the firing of Matt Lauer of the Today Show, yet showrunners say this is not the case.

I like the contrast between the seemingly happy-go-lucky on-air dynamics compared to the brutal tensions bubbling behind the scenes. It’s a fascinating dichotomy, which is one of the reasons I’m particularly drawn to the Apple TV+ series.

Gary Oldman in Slow Horses Season 5 on Apple TV+

Slow Horses (Season 5) — September 24

While I enjoy watching TV shows about the top agents in the country who are able to solve crimes and take down the bad guys with their brilliant determination, what I love even more is when said agents are really bad at their job. Such is the case in Slow Horses, where the “disgraced” former M15 agents are sent to work at the bottom of the barrel of the “loser” department. Like it or not, these agents have no choice but to come together in their defeat and hope to one day overcome their status as the fallen heroes. The show offers riveting performances by Gary Oldman, Jackson Lamb, and Olivia Cooke.

Fans can’t get enough of the series, praising the show for its witty humor and on-screen banter. One commenter wrote on the Apple TV+ YouTube channel, “Haven’t been engrossed by a TV series in a long while. Well done, Slow Horses cast and crew! Here’s to many more seasons to come. Absolutely engaging."

Jessica Chastain in The Savant on Apple TV+

The Savant — September 26

The Savant, starring the brilliant Jessica Chastain, is coming to Apple TV+ for its debut season. The Savant centers around Chastain, who portrays an ordinary mom in the suburbs, living a seemingly quiet, humdrum life. Yet what people don’t know is the fact that she’s secretly working as an undercover agent in order to put a stop to targeted hate crimes being organized online.
