When thinking about a girlfriend getaway you're probably looking for a place that has beautiful weather, incredible hospitality and bountiful entertainment. If you're looking to stay in the U.S., then Florida probably comes to the top of your mind.

Luckily, there's no shortage of attractions in Florida from beaches to theme parks and personally I'm a Disney World fanatic and think it's the perfect spot for a girlfriend getaway. If you feel the same way, then you might be looking for a hotel in the Orlando area to cater to your next girlfriend getaway.

Here are the best hotels near Disney World for a girlfriend getaway!

As a Disney World expert, I've stayed at all of the hotels on-site and a majority of them which are located in close proximity (within a 30 minute drive) from the property. The best part? They all have a unique look, feel and vibe with different rooms and amenities suitable for all different types of travelers — whether you're looking to kick back and relax at the pool or you want to enjoy Michelin-rated dining, there's something for everyone.

Ritz Carlton Orlando

Ritz-Carlton Orlando, Grande Lakes

Looking to spend a weekend in luxury? The Ritz-Carlton Orlando, Grande Lakes needs to be on your radar for your getaway to Disney World. The rooms at the hotel are spacious, modern and sophisticated with marble bathrooms, picturesque views of the lake or resort and luxurious amenities including La Bottega Diptyque products.

When you're not at the theme parks, you can sit back and relax at the heated main pool that has a lazy river and a separate water park section. The property is connected to the JW Marriott Orlando so resort guests can use the pool at that property as well if they'd like. If you want to get out of the sun, then you can make an appointment at the Ritz Carlton Spa to get a treatment with an extensive menu ranging from massages to manicures and pedicures.

If you're not planning to go out to dinner, there's several on-site dining locations including Michelin-recommended Knife and Spoon which is a signature steakhouse with a carefully curated menu from Chef John Tesar and Highball & Harvest which is a southern restaurant with classic fare with an elevated twist. For those with a sweet tooth, I highly recommend ordering the ice cream sundae for dessert — it's been months since I've had it and I still think about it almost daily.

There's also scheduled shuttles that go to Disney World if you're looking to go to the theme parks without taking your car. You'll want to inquire with the concierge about specific times upon check in.

Caribe Royale Orlando

For a property with a more laid back and tropical vibe, you'll want to book a room at Caribe Royale Orlando. You can't miss the property with its vibrant pink exterior and tall palm trees that line the main entrance. This property is well suited to girlfriend getaways since all of the rooms are suite-style with a separate living room and bedroom and in-room amenities such as a microwave, mini cooler, coffee maker, desk and sofa. This is a great option for those larger parties who might want some privacy after a long day at the theme parks or just when some extra space is needed for getting ready in the morning.

There are two pools at the resort with one reserved for those staying in the villas — it's quieter and located further inside of the hotel. The pool area is definitely a vibe with music, chatter and people having a good time. There's also Calypso's Pool Bar & Grille where you can get a drink or some light bites — think quesadillas and nachos as you lounge poolside.

When mealtime comes around, you don't want to miss out on a reservation at The Venetian Chophouse. This steakhouse features prime cuts, signature Italian dishes and exquisite desserts that will make any night feel special. I ordered the chicken parmesan and it was delicious — it was also the first time I've ever had a bone-in chicken parm.

If you're looking to go to the theme parks, you can schedule a time on the resort shuttle. It's included with the resort fee and can get you to and from the parks at select times throughout the day. It does sell out so you'll want to go to the concierge at check in to get that sorted out ahead of your trip.

Villatel Orlando Resort

Villatel Orlando Resort

For those larger friend groups, you might want to consider staying in a villa as opposed to a standard hotel room or suite. Located only 25 minutes away from Disney World, Villatel Orlando Resort has four to nine bedrooms villas with fully equipped kitchens, private pools and patios, in-house entertainment and themed rooms. This is a great option if you want more personal space and plan to spend a decent amount of time at the hotel during your getaway to relax in the sun.

When I stayed here, my villa had a Shrek themed suite with a slide — this was geared more towards kids, but I'd be lying if I said I didn't go down it once (or maybe a few times.) There was also an old-school Pac-Man arcade game in the room to play and video game consoles.

There's also a larger main pool, a Topgolf Swing Suite, basketball and pickleball courts and a gym to utilize too and a pool bar for some light bites. In terms of proximity to the theme parks, it's 25 minutes to Disney World and less than 10 minutes away from Universal Studios if you wanted to go outside of the Disney bubble.

Lake Nona Wave Hotel

Lake Nona Wave Hotel

This roundup of Orlando hotels wouldn't be complete without including Lake Nona Wave Hotel. Located 30 minutes away from Disney World, Lake Nona Wave Hotel is a boutique property with an artsy look and feel. From the moment you pull up, you'll see the property standing tall and with a wave-like structure. Inside you're instantly greeted by kitschy artwork, neon lights, books and decor and a lobby bar where you can grab a quick beverage.

The rooms are modern and chic with pops of color and technology that make the stay a more luxury experience — thing Toto toilets and Nespresso machines. My room had a gigantic floor to ceiling window with a view of the airport where you could see planes landing — it was quite neat. Surprisingly I didn't hear any noise from the planes, but the property provides earplugs in case it is bothersome to you.

When you're not in the room, you'll want to take advantage of the pool which is heated and has numerous reclining chairs and private cabanas for rent. It's located on the same level as Garni Cafe too where you'll find breakfast, lunch and dinner — highly recommend getting the avocado toast in the morning. The property is definitely for those foodies as it has a Michelin-recommended restaurant, Bacan, that is home to Latin cuisine and Nami, which is a Japanese restaurant spearheaded by Michelin-Star Chef Freddy Money and Chef Jason Beliveau.

You'll need to have a car to get to the theme parks from here or you can call a rideshare if that is more your speed.

Waldorf Astoria

Waldorf Astoria Orlando

Waldorf Astoria Orlando is technically on Disney property making it the closest to the Disney World theme parks on this list. If you're looking to stay on-site, then this is the option for you. This five-star property has an outdoor swimming pool, fitness center, kids activities, an on-site restaurant and shuttle services to the parks. Since it's a Disney resort, you're able to receive the early morning magic perks which can give you even more time to explore the theme parks.

The rooms and suites are spacious and many have spectacular views of the surrounding area and nearby properties. There's also a spa that has Orlando's first ever Himalayan salt room. If you and the girlfriends want to get pampered, then you'll want to book an appointment for some much needed relaxation time.

If you get hungry while on property, there's Bull & Bear which specializes in tableside preparation, The Clubhouse Grille and Oscar's Brasserie where you'll find breakfast before heading out to the parks.

It's worth noting that it's pet-friendly if you want to bring your furry friend on your girlfriend's getaway.

Orlando World Center Marriott

Orlando World Center Marriott

Last but not least, Orlando World Center Marriott needs to be on your radar for your girlfriend's getaway if you're looking for a property that has everything in one central location. Here you'll find spacious rooms, a large main pool and several on-site restaurants. It is a convention hotel so it has a lot of seating areas throughout and a nice energy to it.

From my experience, the pool is the highlight of this property — there's a waterfall, great music and lots of palm trees in the surrounding area. The rooms are updated and modern with all of the amenities you'd need to be comfortable during your trip too — make sure to utilize the robe in the closet.

There are several places to grab food on property including . I really enjoyed my personal pizza from Siro Urban Italian Kitchen and my breakfast burrito the next morning at Latitude & Longitude. There's also a Starbucks so you can grab a cup of coffee in the morning before heading out of your adventures.

It's only 20 minutes away from Disney World so you can hop on one of the scheduled shuttles or take your car there depending on your preference. Parking at Disney isn't free so you might as well use the shuttle to save yourself some money.
