Nordstrom Launches a Treasure and Bond Home Line, and We’re Into It
If you need an excuse to do a little home refresh this spring, Nordstrom‘s got you. This week the legendary department store launched its Treasure & Bond Home line, and besides being filled with all sorts of relaxed, modern pillows, accessories and other awesome pieces, the line has a fabulous story. As an extension of the retailer’s Treasure & Bond giveback initiative, a portion of all purchases will go toward helping kids and making a positive impact in the world. In other words: shopping permission granted.
While Nordstrom has long had the Treasure & Bond clothing line, the move into the home space is a new one. “We recognize that customers are looking for simple ways to update their homes, and [that they] gravitate towards authentic materials that express their own relaxed, modern style,” a Nordstrom spokesperson tells Brit + Co. “We also know that customers are compelled by socially conscious brands, and we wanted to deliver a collection that captured these elements.”
Each year Treasure & Bond selects a partner charity and donates two and a half percent of net sales. This year, every Treasure & Bond purchase gives back to WE Charity’s domestic program WE School, a program that helps educators and students understand the root causes of pressing social issues (poverty and access to education, to name two) and provides the tools necessary to take action.
As for the pieces themselves, the look is effortless and modern. “We wanted to celebrate the authentic beauty of the materials and craftsmanship in each piece, whether it’s a lived-in linen duvet cover that gets better with each use or a recycled glass tumbler that can be repurposed throughout the home,” the spokesperson says. “The collection offers a mix of styles that allows customers to effortlessly curate their own look.”
Items in the line are versatile and meant to be used in multiple ways. For example, pillows for the bed can also travel to a sofa or bench, pots can be used as drinkware, and vases for storage.
So, here’s your excuse (as if you needed one!) to give your home the update you’ve been dreaming of. Items in the line range from $5 to $100, and can be purchased in Nordstrom stores or online.
