Watch Rob and Bryiana Dyrdek Find Out the Sex of Their Second Baby
Organizing an unforgettable baby sex reveal is one thing, but pulling off a unique unveiling that surprises even the parents-to-be is hard to do. Thanks to pro skateboarder Rob Dyrdek and his stunning wife, Bryiana Dyrdek, we have new #SexRevealGoals, but take note: It will require some major help from friends seriously skilled in secret keeping.
The happy couple, who welcomed their first baby, a son named Kodah Dash Dyrdek, into the world last September, threw a huge party at their home yesterday along with their closest family and friends to discover the sex of baby number two.
Dyrdek was tasked with popping a black balloon, and, as pink confetti filled the garden, the couple’s excitement was palpable in the slow-motion video post he uploaded to social media. “It’s a girl!!!” Dyrdek wrote, including plenty of pink emojis to emphasize his point. “We decided to wait and let it be a surprise, and as you can tell by our reaction we were very surprised! We are so blessed and thankful. We can’t wait to welcome our little princess into our family.”
His glowing wife also posted a video of the reveal, this one shot in real time, and gushed: “Twinkle, twinkle little star.. we spent so much time wondering what you are. Now that we know Kodah will be a big brother to a little sister, we are over the moon and can’t wait to meet you! You are the perfect addition to our family, sweet girl, and we love you so, so much! I can’t believe this is real.”
The couple managed to pull off the surprise with help from a couple of Bryiana’s amazing friends, who are total pros at keeping secrets. “Rob and I wanted to find out the gender of baby number two with our loved ones, and we knew my favorite humans (who also happen to be the best secret keepers) were perfect to pull off our gender reveal!” the mama-to-be explained on Instagram.
It seems Bryiana has quite the penchant for staging unrivaled surprises. Following the bash, she returned to social media to share the story of how she first revealed her pregnancy to her hubby and, let us tell you, it’s pretty amazing.
Rather than going the traditional route, the brunette bombshell staged a date night at home, complete with 100 white balloons and “candles all over our balcony. We ordered our favorite Chinese take out and sat outside, talking for hours. For most of the night, he thought I had something up my sleeve, but just when I had convinced him that this was a normal date night, I gave him a gift.”
That gift included the above photos, which house some secret clues. Look closely and you’ll notice Kohad is wearing a button on his shirt, which reads “big brother” as well as a balloon in the background which reads,”welcome baby.” Dyrdek apparently didn’t notice these sneaky clues, but he sure got the message when he unwrapped the rest of the gift: “a sign announcing when we get to meet our newest Dyrdek” and a positive pregnancy test. Wowza!
