Simone Biles Just Made Things Instagram Official With Gymnast Stacey Ervin
Earlier this year, Olympic gymnast and DWTS contestant Simone Biles revealed she’d only ever been on one date. And it’s no wonder — training is grueling (and time-consuming), to say the least. Never mind finding a boyfriend who understands how difficult the life of an Olympic athlete is.
Luckily for Biles, however, her new man, gymnast Stacey Ervin, gets it. The gold medalist made her relationship with Ervin Instagram official on Monday, sharing a photo of them together and captioning it, “always smiling with you.”
Ervin is a USA Gymnastics member with a preference for floor routines. He also has a degree in psychology from the University of Michigan. And according to his USA Gymnastics bio, his favorite musician is Kid Cudi, and his favorite show is New Girl.
Biles took him as her date to the USA Gymnastics Hall of Fame event on Monday night, and he shared a pic of the pair heading into the ceremony, where Biles was inducted.
“Words cannot express how incredibly proud I am of you, all you’ve accomplished & how well you carry yourself,” Ervin wrote alongside the pic. “You make me feel like I am the luckiest man alive. Congratulations on your induction to the USA Gymnastics Hall of Fame! I can’t wait to see what the future has in store. 😘”
We don’t know how long they’ve been dating, or how serious it is, but it’s great to see Biles with someone who not only understands her lifestyle as an elite athlete, but also props up her mega accomplishments.
