Starbucks’ Bold New Wraps and Sweet Selections Are Snacktime Perfection
Starbucks knows what we want (like Caramelized Honey heavenliness) and they just love giving it to us. Today, they’re handing us yet another reason for us to head over for brekkie or lunch (or dinner or snack) with a new bold wrap and sweet selections.
“We wanted to include a lean meat in the wrap and thought that steak could be a nice complement to our wraps with chicken,” said Melodie Beal, who was a private chef for 16 years before joining Starbucks. “When we decided on a tender steak similar to what you would find in a fajita, our next idea was to make the wrap Southwestern style for broad appeal.”
Their goal was to create a wrap that could be enjoyed anywhere at any time. “We considered the different scenarios where our customers might eat a wrap, such as a lunch meeting, in the car or, now that the weather is warming up, outside on a bench or at a picnic,” Melodie mentioned. “We want our customers to feel comfortable eating the wrap wherever they are.” They don’t mention eating the wrap in the bathtub or in front of the Netflix show that you’re binge-watching, but we assume that’s implied.
And for your sweet tooth, Starbucks has you covered. New treats include Chocolate Marble Loaf Cake, Chocolate Chunk Muffin, Apple Fritter and a Cinnamon Raisin Bagel. Delish!
But if you’re on the go, a few pre-packaged options are also being added, including Torie & Howard Chewie Fruities (“sophisticated, epicurean recipes made with organic ingredients”) available in Blood Orange & Honey, Meyer Lemon & Raspberry and Pomegranate & Nectarine. Or you could grab Buck Wild Snacks (gotta love that name) or Chuao Chocolatier treats.
