Dakota Johnson’s Undergarments for ‘Fifty Shades Freed’ Involved… Superglue!?
If you thought filming the hot and heavy scenes in the Fifty Shades films was all fun and games, think again: according to the film’s leading star, Dakota Johnson, some of the steamier shots in the newest installment of the series, Fifty Shades Freed, were far from sexy — quite the opposite, in fact.
Not only was the experience scary, “It’s not casual and it’s not fun,” the actress shared in an interview with Marie Claire. The 28-year-old revealed that to ensure that she looked naked without *actually* baring it all on screen, she was meant to wear strapless thongs with sticky-sided place-holders on it. “It’s not glue, but it’s sticky.” (Think the underwear version of a nipple pastie)
Alas, the aforementioned coverups couldn’t quite withstand the rigorous romping required in the film. “[The thongs would] come off because the adhesive would wear out,” she shared. To remedy the issue, “they would superglue [the thong] to my body.” Say what!?
“It’s not painful. I mean, it’s barely anything,” she assured us, adding, “But I guess you have some sense of being covered. “It’s f*cking bizarre.”
As for costar Jamie Dornan, his on-screen wife shared that the actor donned a “really unsexy” pouch.
While you probably won’t sneak a peek of paper panties and pouches on-screen, you *can* expect to see Mrs. Grey wearing one of the most gorgeous wedding dresses in the film, which is good enough for us.
