Kate McKinnon went on The Ellen DeGeneres Show to promote her new movie, The Spy Who Dumped Me, but both she and costar Mila Kunis had The Bachelor on their brains instead. In fact, her hilarious reaction to last season鈥檚 wild ending may have given DeGeneres an idea for a new spinoff.

As Bachelor Nation fans watched in horror earlier this month, Arie Luyendyk Jr. decided to break off his engagement with Becca Kufrin, on camera, during one of their so-called 鈥渉appy couple鈥 weekends. His fianc茅 was understandably stunned, and she wasn鈥檛 the only one. DeGeneres said most of the people involved with the show were shocked, too 鈥 including some of the crew members who were in the room when the split occurred.

Though McKinnon 鈥 a fan of the show, of course 鈥 first suspected that the entire situation was set up, DeGeneres told her that Luyendyk only informed The Bachelor host Chris Harrison and the show鈥檚 producers what was going to happen, so even the camera operators who filmed the split weren鈥檛 told about the breakup beforehand.

McKinnon was floored by this news. 鈥淪o [the camera operators] are there and they鈥檙e going, 鈥榃hat鈥檚 going on? Josh! What鈥檚 going on?'鈥 she said, doing an impression of what she thought the moment must have been like. 鈥淎nd they鈥檙e following to the bathroom and they鈥檙e going and they鈥檙e crying for Becca: 鈥楯osh, how could he do this to her? 鈥 Josh, we should stop this!'鈥

鈥淭hat鈥檚 a really good show,鈥 DeGeneres quipped, getting inspiration from McKinnon. 鈥淭he other side of it, seeing the cameramen. The cameramen respond to what鈥檚 happening on The Bachelor is a show.鈥

Honestly, we would totally watch that. Or an SNL skit about that. (Hint, hint!)
