“Mean Girls” Star Lizzy Caplan Marries Tom Riley in a Dreamy Wedding in Italy
Between Ronda Rousey’s recent intimate Hawaiian ceremony and now Lizzy Caplan’s swoon-worthy Italian celebration, celebs are giving us total destination wedding goals lately! Caplan’s rep confirmed to E! News that the Mean Girls and Masters of Sex star married Tom Riley in Italy this weekend. Riley himself confirmed the news with an adorable — and funny — Instagram of himself and his bride.
“This one seems fertile,” Riley wrote in his caption. “She shall make a satisfactory first wife.” The photo shows Riley and Caplan sitting on the grass, laughing, as wedding guests strike goofy poses in spotlights behind them.
According to E!, the pair exchanged vows at the Villa Cimbrone Ravello on the Amalfi Coast on Italy. They celebrated with a small gathering of just their closest family and friends.
Caplan and Riley met two years ago and got engaged in May 2016 after dating for just five months. Back in June, Riley joked about their romance in an Instagram caption.
“Happy Birthday to my forever mancrush Monday,” he wrote, showing yet again that these two know how to have fun. “A girl whose fake laugh game humbles and inspires me. She was truly miserable in this picture but you would NEVER KNOW and it’s that kind of ability to suppress emotion that will serve us well in our life together. #mcm”
If the photos and goofy banter between these two are any indication, they’re about as happy as it gets — and we totally love their love. Congrats to the happy couple!
