Prince Harry Is All Smiles as He Greets the Public Ahead of the Royal Wedding
Tomorrow is the big day! Ahead of his wedding to Meghan Markle, Prince Harry stepped out to greet well-wishers outside Windsor Castle, where he and his bride will say “I do” just hours from now.
Harry was all smiles as he greeted the hundreds of people who had gathered in Windsor to wait for the wedding. Kensington Palace‘s Twitter account posted pics of the groom-to-be shaking hands, chatting with well-wishers, and even accepting a small teddy bear as a gift.
Prince Harry’s older brother and best man, Prince William, was also there to talk with the public.
“Thank you to the crowds in Windsor for the amazing reception for Prince Harry and his best man The Duke of Cambridge!” Kensington Palace tweeted.
Markle was not with her fiancé, but photographers got her on camera with her mother, Doria Ragland, as they arrived at the Cliveden House Hotel on Friday. Ragland will ride with her daughter to the ceremony at St. George’s Chapel on Saturday morning.
Markle’s father, Thomas Markle, was supposed to walk her down the aisle, but the former Suits star confirmed earlier this week that he would not attend the wedding after all. Instead, she has asked Prince Charles to accompany her as she enters the church.
“Ms. Meghan Markle has asked His Royal Highness the Prince of Wales to accompany her down the aisle of the Quire of St. George’s Chapel on her wedding day,” Kensington Palace said in a statement on Friday morning. “The Prince of Wales is pleased to be able to welcome Ms. Markle to the royal family in this way.”
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding will take place tomorrow, May 19, at noon local time, which is 7am ET and 4am PT.
