This Major iPhone 7 Rumor Can Be Put to Rest
As soon as the iPhone 6s premiered, rumors about the iPhone 7 started to swirl. For months, reports out of China and from secret sources have leaked information about what to expect this fall. However, one of these most persistent rumors just got the kibosh.
The dual-lens camera, which was reported to be one of the iPhone 7’s main features, has been cancelled because of “immature technology,” according to a manufacturer for Apple. The phone’s dual-lens camera on its rear would have allowed the iPhone to capture more light in photos and create more detailed shots. If the dual-lens were to exist, it would have contained a wide-angle sensor and really incredible zoom features. But this just adds fodder to the reports that the iPhone 7 will probably be disappointing.
One rumor about the new iPhone persists, though: Apple is reportedly removing the headphone jack from the iPhone 7 and requiring users to listen via the lightning port. Other rumors are swirling about possibly replacing the home button with a touch-sensitive one. We’ll wait to see whether they survive to the phone’s eagerly awaited release.
