Dress Your Toddler as Style Icon Iris Apfel This Halloween
When it comes to dressing up my little mini me Anokhi for Halloween, I can’t help but want to have her embody the iconic looks of powerhouse women throughout history and present-day popular culture. For today’s edition of Anokhi as icon, I bring you a pint-sized Iris Apfel costume.
Best known for her signature glasses and outrageously colorful coats, necklaces, scarves, and boas, layered on top of one another, recreating her look is pretty darn fun if you love patterns as much as me.
A businesswoman, designer, and fashion icon, Apfel has worked on interior design projects at the White House for nine presidents, has collaborated with countless brands, and was recently awarded the Women’s Entrepreneurship Day Pioneer Award for her work in the field of fashion. And she’s showing no signs of slowing down, even at the age of 97. Talk about hustle goals.

As you can see, we had a bit of trouble getting Anokhi to keep the wig on — so your call on whether or not your toddler has the patience to don something similar.
