See Taylor Swift Being Transformed into a Zombie for “LWYMMD”
Halloween is just around the corner (have you seen Target’s spooky decor?), but one celeb may have already won the holiday with her shockingly eerie transformation into a zombie for her latest music video. Yep, we’re talking about Taylor Swift! The pop star went all out for the visual accompaniment to her hit track, “Look What You Made Me Do,” morphing into the undead before our very eyes. If you’ve been racking your brain trying to figure out how exactly the 27-year-old beauty pulled off such a stunt, you’re in luck, as her make-under secrets have just been revealed with some killer (pun intended) behind-the-scenes footage.
Apparently, the Grammy-winner has her makeup artist to thank for the opening scene of her video, which begins with Swift crawling out of a grave a la Michael Jackson’s 1982 Thriller. Her look was created entirely with beauty tricks of the trade, with no CGI involved! Impressive, BB!
Sharing a 30-second clip showcasing her unreal metamorphosis on YouTube, T-Swift revealed just what went into making that memorable moment a reality (hint: a LOT of work). Without the help of computer-generated effects, it was up to an expert special effects team to use airbrushing techniques, as well as prosthetic pieces, to turn the normally gorgeous “…Ready for It?” singer into a terrifying ghoul, complete with claw hand gloves, exposed cheekbones, and decomposing feet. YIKES!
TBH, we’re totally inspired after seeing her commitment to the look: Looks like we’re gonna need to step up our Halloween costume game, and quick!
