With the recent success of Disney’s live-action Beauty and the Beast remake and a whole slate of others in the works — including Mulan, The Lion King, and more — it feels like Disneymania is at an all-time high. Lindsay Lohan and her long red mane are even publicly making a bid to play Ariel in the Little Mermaid remake — but she might have some unexpected competition.

Makeup artist Richard Schaefer is known for his flawless Disney makeup transformations, including stunning portrayals of Cruella de Vil, Aladdin, Peter Pan, and tons more. But his latest transformation into The Little Mermaid‘s Ariel and her sisters has to be seen to be believed.

Schaefer calls the series the “#mersistersquad,” and it’s already giving us some pretty serious group costume ideas for next Halloween. Just check these out:

“I’ve been wanting to do this little project for a very long time and I’m so happy I finally got around to it!” he writes. “It was so much fun!” We can only imagine that with the time and effort it took to pull this off, you’d HAVE to have fun doing it. He’s certainly earned that @TheOfficialAriel Instagram handle!

If you’d like you wear your approval of Schaefer’s hard work, he’s even featured on a limited-edition enamel pin as a split between Ariel/Schaefer as at tribute to his transformational prowess. So cool.

A gown is one way to channel your fave Disney princess IRL, but Schaefer’s work? It’s next level.
