Postmates Will Deliver Alcohol Straight to Your Door If You Live in One of These 14 Cities
You can get almost anything delivered these days, and we do mean anything: From fitness gear to must-have mommy essentials, delicious Gwyneth Paltrow-approved meals, and even Olive Garden breadsticks (OMG!), it’s a good time to be alive for the gal or guy with a schedule too packed for running errands.
Postmates, the on-demand delivery service that promises to deliver goodies “from every restaurant and store in your city, 24/7,” has been bringing food to your doorstep for some time now, but they’ve got some exciting news for those seeking libations. Just in time for all of those July Fourth barbecues, the company has expanded its alcohol delivery (aptly dubbed DRINKS) beyond California and Florida to include five major cities in New York and Texas.
That means you can now get all those cocktail recipe ingredients (we’re talking spirits, wines, and beers) delivered straight to your door with the click of a button!
If you’re in Manhattan or Brooklyn, not only can you order all of your favorite wines and spirits, but you can feel good about them being “sourced from local wine merchants and liquor stores” too. Meanwhile, anyone in Austin, Dallas, or Houston can get all of their favorite craft beers brought straight to their porch. Better still? The unique alcohol on-demand service promises to place your drink orders right into your hands in 25 minutes or less.
Since launching in San Francisco and Los Angeles earlier this year, DRINKS has been a major hit with both customers (duh!) and local businesses. As Shervin Lalezari, owner of LA’s Terner’s Liquor Store, told the folks over at Postmates, using the service has “fueled a more vibrant community, while helping small and local businesses grow simultaneously.” Amazing!
The five new additions bring DRINKS’ city total up to 14, with San Diego, Orange County, Long Beach, Miami, Palm Springs, SF East, and South Bay Sacramento already being served.
We’ll drink to that!
