11 Can’t-Stop Miley Cyrus Costumes

Miley, Miley, Miley. You’re like the the adolescent predecessor to Madonna and Gwen Stefani. We hope you’ll grow into their epic greatness, but in the meantime we can’t wait to see what you’ll do next. You’re the world’s guilty pleasure, so is it any surprise that we want to mimic your spectacle for Halloween?

1. Can’t Stop: Miley went a little ’80s for this look and you can too! Overalls with bikini bottoms paired with a West Coast T, a red lip and a tie headband will almost get you the whole look. In lieu of the giant bear backpack, you could opt for a normal-sized teddy strapped to your back.

2. Fitted Feline: We’re pretty sure Nasty Gal has a cat print on any article of clothing you could want it on. Do some surfing and see what you can find, then accessorize with big, clear plastic jewelry. The bigger the better!

3. Bejeweled: Before she stripped down to her bear onesie at the 2013 VMAs, this was Miley’s red carpet look. Make it yourself with black tights, a crop top, hot glue and jewels.

4. Party in the USA: Go old school and take a page from her dad’s fame this super hit was a little bit country. So bust out the cowboy boots, cut-offs and a leather vest. For context, you can even find a way to carry around an American flag.

5. Hannah Montana: Lest we not forget sweet, innocent Hannah Montana. It’s how Miley first invaded the pop scene, and looking back we barely recognize her. This throwback costume can be done by surfing the Juniors section for jackets with hardware and scarves with sparkle.

6. Miley Bird: Just before Miley unleashed her tongue-wagging self, there was this music video for Can’t Be Tamed in which she dressed as different extravagant birds. You can nail this look with a silver, strapless mini dress and some major crafting for a big ol’ peacock tail.

7. Wrecking Ball: We went there. As scandalous as Wrecking Ball was, the costume is a cinch. White crop top. White bottoms. Combat boots. Red lip. Done! If you want, you can carry around a grey ball for context.

8. Goth Miley: A long-sleeved, floor-length fishnet number over a nude slip will take your Miley look right back to the Met Ball. Spike your hair for that Miley flare.

9. Bangerz: A green leotard will do just fine for starters—preferably one with a deep v. Embellish away with jewels and monochromatic fabric swatches to make your own pattern. Seal your look with a big gold chain.

10. Cher Glam: We’re not sure she did Cher proud, but there’s certainly some iconic pop star glam going on here. Find a red long-sleeved crop top and pair it with some red bikini bottoms. Get crafty with jewels and feather boas and you’ve got your very own Miley look.

11. The Infamous Teddy Bear Look: It’s the night that we’ll never forget. The one that’s scarred in the memories of all America. The night Miley and her bear posse danced around with a foam finger and a referee. We think it’s a costume that deserves revisiting.

Do you have a favorite iconic Miley look? Let us know how you’d wear it for Halloween!

Miley Cyrus is an absolute powerhouse, and she has an incredible family behind her who have supported her along her journey to become the woman she is today! Because of how beautifully blended the Cyrus family is, there has been confusion surrounding how Miley and Noah are related. Miley and Noah are full siblings are not half sisters, contrary to popular belief! Miley is seven years older than Noah, and the two seem to be very close.

Trace Cyrus, 34

Trace Cyrus was born on February 24, 1989, and was also adopted by Billy Ray Cyrus after he married Trish Cyrus. Trace is also a musical icon and is the lead singer of the popular band, Metro Station. A fun — and often-forgotten — fact is that Trace was previously engaged to Brenda Song! Noah Cyrus, 24

Noah Cyrus was born on January 8, 2000, and began her life in the spotlight at the early age of 2 through her appearance on her dad's show. She was also featured on Hannah Montana a few times! Nowadays, she doesn't seem to be pursuing acting anymore, preferring music instead.

Noah is incredibly talented like her older siblings and even earned a Grammy nomination for Best New Artist in 2001. Miley has been very vocal about her pride for her little sister and how she's who she looks up to. Noah has also been open about how it wasn't easy growing up as Miley's sister because she was constantly being compared to her.

Now, Noah seems to have happily established herself and her talent in her own right and she is engaged to a fashion designer named Pinkus.

With so much in common, there's a lot to love about Japanese and Scandinavian design. Both aesthetics emphasize neutral and earthy colors, sustainable materials, and the great outdoors (plants, branches, and solids woods). Japandi design brings the two decor trends into one happy, harmonious place, influenced by the subtle differences in each design. There's the comfort and warm minimalism of the Scandi style combined with the elegance, attention to detail and wabi-sabi, or rustic simplicity (wabi) and beauty in imperfection (sabi), of the Japanese side. Here's a look at how to achieve the look with our shoppable favorites!

Open Spaces

This 1930s ranch-style home in the Los Feliz Hills neighborhood of Los Angeles exudes a Japandi vibe, with its open and airy layout, beautiful cabinetry in Douglas Fir, clean modern lines, tons of natural light and high-end materials to elevate the design, all reimagined by AIA award-winning architects Klein Agency in collab with builder SITU Development.

Neutral Color Palette

Look for shades of white, beige, gray and earth tones to create a serene and calming atmosphere. The Klein design team was inspired by the home’s natural surroundings and sweeping views. Green tones reflect the nature outside, as do the beautiful wide plank white oak flooring by Madera. The relaxed organic bedding hint to a more Scandi hygge look.

Functionality

Minimalist Decor

Minimal artwork and natural elements set the scene for a quiet workspace, where focus is key. Don't be afraid to include vintage items and personal mementos too. Things that hold meaning to you are especially important.

Natural Elements

The windows are unobstructed throughout the home, maximizing natural light, and the decor embraces the outdoors with indoor branches and greenery (even in the shower).

Balanced Symmetry

Rise and shine: sleek furniture and a balanced layout, as well as limited decoration, are signature markers of Japandi design. Furniture and decor feels purposeful, like you use what you love and need.

Tranquility

Indoors and out, Japandi design prioritizes relaxation and mindfulness, as shown in this stunning Los Feliz home. Keep the design simple, clutter-free, and peaceful. It's all about your well-being and creating a sanctuary for living.

If you've been plugged into pop culture at any point since March 2006, then you've probably heard the name Miley Cyrus. We wanted to be popstars thanks to Hannah Montana, we cried during The Last Song, and "The Climb" will forever be one of our favorite karaoke songs. Miley Cyrus' newest album, Endless Summer Vacation, is as attention-grabbing as any of her past eras, especially since her lead single "Flowers" became the most-streamed song in a single week on Spotify.

And at the 2024 Grammys, "Flowers" finally won Miley Cyrus the Grammy she's deserved for a long time! Here's everything you need to know about her newest album.

What Is "Flowers" About?

The first single from Endless Summer Vacation is an upbeat and hopeful (even if melancholy) observation of a previous relationship in Miley Cyrus' life. The production feels old school and more toned-down than some of her previous work, which lets the lyrics — from "I can buy myself flowers" to "I can hold my own hand, Yeah, I can love me better than you can" — really stand out.

We can already tell this album is going to be on repeat for the summer, and we love that something we'll listen to at the beach and on roadtrips is also a self-love anthem.

During her performance at the 2024 Grammys, Miley went off script and after singing "Started to cry, then remembered I," she shouted "I just won my first Grammy!" then started dancing around the stage. The moment was so joyful, and such a long time coming, that we couldn't help but feel just as excited as Miley about the win!

Our Thoughts On "Endless Summer Vacation"

Image via John Sciulli/Getty Images for Gucci

Endless Summer Vacation reveals a different kind of depth and emotion that we haven't seen from Miley Cyrus before. The album is a melancholy kind of nostalgic that strikes an aesthetic balance between her 2017 Younger Now's "Malibu" and 2020 Plastic Hearts's "Midnight Sky."

Its upbeat sadness reminds us of Harry Styles' "As It Was" or Taylor Swift's "Anti-Hero," and speaks to the way that as humans, we still want to approach life with optimism, even in the face of pain and difficulty. Endless Summer Vacation is honest, sexy, and feels like we're listening to Cyrus' diary entries. What can we say? We're obsessed.

Our favorite songs? "Jaded," "Flowers," and "Violet Chemistry."

We would love to hear this album live, but according to some recent statements from the singer, it probably won't be at a stadium tour.

"I can’t. Not only 'can’t,' because can’t is your capability, but my desire. Do I want to live my life for anyone else’s pleasure or fulfillment other than my own?” she says in an interview with British Vogue. “Singing for hundreds of thousands of people isn’t really the thing that I love...There’s no connection. There’s no safety. It’s also not natural. It’s so isolating because if you’re in front of 100,000 people then you are alone.”

We might not get to sing along with thousands of other people in an arena, but we will definitely be dancing to Endless Summer Vacation in our bedrooms.

Everything You Need To Know About "Endless Summer Vacation"

www.instagram.com

Miley Cyrus on Instagram: "ENDLESS SUMMER VACATION. THE ALBUM. MARCH 10."

Miley Cyrus announced her 8th studio album at her New Year's Eve party in January, and followed the announcement up with an Instagram post. The album art for Endless Summer Vacation features Cyrus hanging from a trapeze bar in a bodysuit, sunglasses, and heels. The mix of black accessories and bleach blonde hair stand out against the blue sky, which totally puts us in the mood to go to the beach.

According to a press release for album, Endless Summer Vacation is a "love letter to L.A," and based on the lyrics and themes in "Flowers," the whole album will showcase Cyrus' growth, healing, and strength.

Who Else Is Involved In "Endless Summer Vacation"?

In addition to Mike WiLL Made-it (who previously collaborated with Cyrus on 2013's Bangerz), Kid Harpoon and Tyler Johnson are also involved as producers. Gregory Aldae Hein and Michael Pollack are credited as writers.

What Songs Are On Miley Cyrus' New Album?

We don't have a tracklist yet, but keep checking back for the full announcement!

When Will The Album Be Released?

Endless Summer Vacation will be released on March 10, 2023.

Does "Endless Summer Vacation" Have Any Collabs?

Endless Summer Vacation features Brandi Carlisle on "Thousand Miles" and Sia on "Muddy Feet." Considering Cyrus' previous collaborations (Dua Lipa, Britney Spears, and Dolly Parton have all been featured on past albums), we're not surprised she picked such powerhouse women.

Where Can I Listen To The Album?

The album will be released on Spotify and Apple Music, and you can also buy physical copies from Miley Cyrus' official website.

Are There Any Music Videos?

www.youtube.com

Miley Cyrus - Flowers (Official Video)

Cyrus released a music video along with "Flowers" on January 13. What starts off with Cyrus hiding under a hood and walking over an enclosed bridge turns into a messy ponytail and carefree dancing through LA.

www.youtube.com

Miley Cyrus - River (Official Video)

A black and white music video for "River" was released on March 10.

www.youtube.com

Miley Cyrus - Jaded (Official Video)

The "Jaded" music video dropped on May 16, and we're obsessed with the grainy overlay and toned-down saturation. It's totally reminiscent of summer in the '90s and now we want to go swimming!

This post has been updated.

After Emily in Paris season 3 dropped on Netflix in December of 2022, we were hoping to get the fourth installment of the hit show in 2023. But production halted when the WGA writers' strike, then the SAG-AFTRA actors' strike went to affect, and our beloved cast and crew campaigned for better wages and industry protection. But with the end of the writers' strike, and new SAG negotiations, Emily in Paris season 4 finally began production in February 2024 — and I can already tell you there's sure to be plenty of drama and French fashion this time around.

Not only will we see Emily in Paris (see what I did there?!) but she's also pulling an Audrey Hepburn and taking a little Roman Holiday. That's right — our favorite Parisians are heading to Italy! If that doesn't sound like a dreamy comfort show then I don't know what does. Here's everything we know about the upcoming season of your favorite TV brain candy!!

Is Emily in Paris season 4 coming soon?

Image via Lily Collins/Instagram

Via Variety, Emily in Paris season 4 began production in Paris the week of January 15! "Did someone say Saison Quatre?!" Lily Collins says in her Instagram post announcing production. "Finally reunited with my @emilyinparis fam back in Paris and it feels so good. Although, I may need to brush up on my selfie skills for Emily’s sake…"

But this year won't be a normal year of filming for the show (although, because of COVID, what does "normal filming" even mean anymore?). Because of the 2024 Paris Olympics, all filming in the city will be shut down from June to September. Netflix's co-CEO just spilled on the release date (via The Hollywood Reporter) and great news — it's sooner than I expected! Alongside the new seasons of Squid Game and Outer Banks, we'll see Emily in Paris season 4 before the end of the year. I'm hoping for a fall release because Emily in Paris is the perfect escapist show for hibernation season, but season 2 and season 3 both premiered in December of their respective years so we could also see it just in time for the holidays!

Is Emily in Paris filmed in Paris?

Image via Lily Collins/Instagram

Yes, Emily in Paris is filmed on location in Paris! We got our first look at Emily in Paris season 4 when Lily Collins and Ashley Park were seen filming in the City of Love (via Daily Mail). The costumes for the series are still as bold and bright as ever, with Ashley's Mindy wearing cobalt and metallic boots, and Lily's Emily dressed head-to-toe in lemon yellow. I can't wait to see what these best friends get up to this season! Check out our Paris travel recommendations to live out your own Emily in Paris dreams ;).

On April 27, Lily Collins confirmed Emily in Paris season 4 had wrapped its France shoot and that the cast & crew have swapped the City of Love for the Eternal City! "When you’re the first ones on the dance floor at the Paris wrap party. Next stop: Rome!" she says on Instagram. Late spring is literally the perfect time to film in Italy and I just know this season is going to give me more wanderlust than ever before. I need gelato!

What's Emily In Paris season 4 about?

Image via Netflix

Season 3 left us with a huge cliffhanger: Alfie breaks up with Emily, Camille learns she's pregnant with Gabriel's baby, Benoit's "Mon Soleil" has been chosen for the Eurovision Song Contest, and Emily and Gabriel realize they've been in love with each other the whole time. Whew.

Emily in Paris season 4 will have a ton of cliffhangers to bring full circle, and a bunch of damage that all the characters need to heal. We know from the Netflix TUDUM fan event that we might also see Emily have to deal with an ultimatum head-on, as well as an unexpected twist. Plus, it looks like she's heading on a "Roman holiday," according to lead actress Lily Collins. We'll take any nod to an Audrey Hepburn movie, please and thank you!

Is Alfie coming back in season 4 of Emily in Paris?

Image via Netflix

We don't have OFFICIAL word on whether Alfie (played by Lucien Laviscount) will return for Emily in Paris season 4, but we're hoping for his sake that he gets some closure. Lucien wants to come back as well! "[The dream is] to keep this gravy train going and just to kind of really live in this world a little bit longer," he says in an interview with Elle. " The writers on the show and the creators behind it and everyone that comes into contact with it is so amazing and fantastic. Their minds [have] way, way, way, way surpassed mine. So, yeah. I’ll let them do their thing.”

Who else is in the Emily in Paris season 4 cast?

Image via Netflix

We can expect the rest of the cast — Lily Collins as Emily, Lucas Bravo as Gabriel, Ashley Park as Mindy, Camille Razat as Camille, Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu as Sylvie, Samuel Arnold as Julian, and Bruno Gouery as Luc — to return.

Will there be a season 5 of Emily in Paris?

Image via Marie Etchegoyen/Netflix

It looks like Emily in Paris season 4 will not be the final season, according to creator Darren Star. “There’s a lot more story to tell here and we’re not wrapping things up anytime soon,” Star tells Elle. “And also hopefully season four isn’t the end either. I feel like we’re all creatively feeling like we’re in the middle of something not heading towards the end.”

Darren also told Deadline season 4 is "not necessarily conceived as a final chapter. I think like every other show, it’s a rich ensemble. There’s no end in sight until everybody feels like it’s time to end. And I don’t think this show is limited by a number of seasons, I think it’s limited by everybody’s enthusiasm and excitement about doing it and telling stories about these characters."

We'll take as many seasons of Emily in Paris as they'll give us!!

What has the cast said about Emily in Paris season 4?

Image via Marie Etchegoyen/Netflix

Lucas Bravo told People he's excited for a coming-of-age for Gabriel. "When you start a character, then there's a year where you experience the world and you mature, you become another person and you come back and it's exactly the day you left off," he says. "I'm happy that in season four I'll be able to bring more of what I became and what I've experienced in the past four years."

Even though Lily Collins is now an executive producer, she doesn't want to know TOO much about the future of the show. “Darren and I speak, on occasion, about where he’s thinking of going, but he also doesn’t wanna spoil too much for me because there is a fine line,” she tells Collider. “I don’t wanna know everything because I want to be led with the writing, but I am also curious because, as a producer wanting to celebrate the other characters, I’m very curious to see what their trajectories are."

What happened at the end of Emily in Paris season 3?

Image via Netflix

To be fully prepared for Emily in Paris season 4, it's important to remember just what happened during season 3! The junior season was a bumpy ride for Emily, and it ends with the craziest finale yet. After Camille and Gabriel decide to get married, Camille stops the wedding, saying she knows Gabriel is in love with Emily instead of her. This declaration leads Alfie to break up with our leading lady because he refuses to be her second choice (and honestly, I respect it). That's not the only shocker because Camille also reveals that she's pregnant with Gabriel's child, which comes as a surprise to everyone. Meanwhile, Mindy learns Benoit has submitted a song (specifically "Mon Soleil") to the Eurovision Song Contest and Laurent has his heart set on opening a club in Paris.
