Last Call! Here’s Everything Leaving Netflix in January 2019

January is a time to usher in new beginnings, and that applies to Netflix, too. To make room for some of its many incoming originals, shows, and movies, though, the streaming service is saying goodbye to several older titles, including Love Actually, The Princess Diaries, Friday Night Lights, How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days, and three seasons of Law & Order: SVU. The movie version of Rent is going away, too, but not to worry — Fox’s live production debuts later in January. As for the rest of these? You still have time to squeeze in a few final viewings, so get to streaming!

HBO Max renewedEuphoria for a third season back in 2022, but we sadly haven't seen any progress on the show in the way of filming. Though details surrounding the plot for Euphoria season 3 haven't been revealed, we are awaiting the TV show with excitement!

Euphoria has inspired our coolest makeup looks and on-point Halloween costumes, so we can’t wait to see what the next season of this neon-lighted, drama-filled story holds. Here’s what we know about season 3, thus far. Stay tuned for more updates!

When will Euphoria season 3 start filming?

Eddy Chen / HBO

The Euphoria season 3 delay comes down to significant script rewrites (not to mention how busy the cast is!). According to Variety, the current plan is for the Euphoria cast to work on other projects throughout 2024, and to come back with a 2025 filming plan on October 1. Filming could take at least 25 weeks. However, it looks like that plan could change at any time.

In a March 2024 interview with Who What Wear, Sydney Sweeney shared her excitement to return. "It’s going to be very, very wild,” she says. And regarding the time gap between seasons 2 and 3, Sydney “actually [likes] it because there’s so much room for growth for both me as a person and also Cassie as a character."

Storm Reid, who plays Rue's (Zendaya) little sister Gia in the series, expressed her hope (and a bit of hesitance) in for Euphoria season 3 in talks with E! News at the Challengerspremiere in April 2024.

"We're on pause right now, but we're anxious to get back," she said. "If it's meant to be, we'll be back soon and we'll give the audience what they want and deserve. Hopefully, we will be back."

On the other hand, according to an article published by Vanity Fair, another cast member (who wished to remain anonymous) says, “I just don’t think it will happen.”

The anonymous actor also shed some light on the show's delay.

“Since January of 2022, we have had a start date of March that turned into June, that turned into January,” they say. “And then they kept pushing every month from then on. It was two full years of HBO telling all the actors we were going back soon, so we couldn’t take some jobs.”

Now that Euphoria season 3 is officially on hiatus, the cast members aren't barred from taking further jobs, they say: “Before last week I couldn’t take any TV jobs. Since they have put it on hiatus, I can now take any job. But what sucks is that we all had more momentum right when the show came out but now it’s been 2 years of waiting.”

When is the Euphoria season 3 release date?

Eddy Chen / HBO

Now that the tentative filming date has been pushed back to 2025, we’re expecting the beloved show to return sometime in 2026. Luckily, fans are familiar with waiting a long time for new releases (remember that 2 ½-year wait for Euphoria season 2?), and hopefully the pent-up hype will be worth it when the show finally comes to streaming.

Why is Euphoria season 3 delayed?

Eddy Chen / HBO

We've been waiting for Euphoria season 3 for about two years, but (in addition to Zendaya being #BookedAndBlessed), there's a very good reason for the delay.

“[Sam Levinson is] a person who writes and rewrites and writes and rewrites again, because I think he's wrestling with what's important,” Colman Domingo tells GQ. “He's responding immediately to what the ills of the world are. I know that the one thing I can tell you is that he's very much interested in the existential question of who we are right now. Our souls. That's what he wants to figure out with season three.”

“HBO and Sam Levinson remain committed to making an exceptional third season,” HBO says in a statement to Deadlineabout the show's official, if temporary, pause. “In the interim, we are allowing our in-demand cast to pursue other opportunities.”

So much has happened in the real world since the end of Euphoria season 2 that could have an impact on the new installment, and I can't wait to see what that looks like!

Will there be a time jump in Euphoria season 3?

Eddy Chen / HBO

Multiple stakeholders in the Euphoria-verse expressed their interest in seeing the characters out of high school. When asked about season 3 in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Zendaya expressed her eagerness to see what post-East Highland will look like for the cast:

“I think it’ll be exciting to explore the characters out of high school,” said Zendaya. “I want to see what Rue looks like in her sobriety journey, how chaotic that might look. But also with all the characters, in the sense where they’re trying to figure out what to do with their lives when high school is over and what kind of people they want to be.”

Heidi Bivens, the HBO show’s costume designer, hinted further at a time jump between seasons 2 and 3 when talking with Vogue: “There is talk of [season 3] being approximately five years in the future, and that they’re not in high school anymore. Dorothy’s not in Kansas anymore.”

What's going to happen in Euphoria season 3?

Eddy Chen / HBO

Season 2 of Euphoria left us with a lot to unpack: Rue’s (potential) sobriety, Lexi’s chaotic play, Fez and Ash’s shootings, Cal’s insane sexual spiral, and of course, the glorious girl fight between Maddy and Cassie. The third season has some loose ends to tie up, and we can’t wait to see how it’s done.

Sam Levinson tells EllethatEuphoria season 3 is more of a “film noir,” and that Rue's plot line will “explore what it means to be an individual with principles in a corrupt world.”

Originally, Sam showed multiple story ideas to both Zendaya and HBO (and although Z doesn't have total creative control, as an executive producer, she does get a say in where her story goes). The show will feature a time jump, bringing the characters closer to the actors' ages. According to Variety, the first draft of the script gave the "meaty" storyline to Sydney Sweeney and Jacob Elordi, and featured Zendaya's Rue as a private detective in more of a background role. More recent rewrites incorporated Z's idea of making Rue, who would now be sober, a pregnancy surrogate. Unfortunately, "the new scripts simply didn’t feel like the show tonally."

Who's in the Euphoria season 3 cast?

Eddy Chen/HBO

And the cast list for Euphoria season 3? We know that Barbie Ferreira (Kat) won’t be returning for season 3, due to butting heads one too many times with the show’s creator, Sam Levinson.

At the 2024 Sundance Film Festival, Dominic Fike (who played Elliot in Euphoria season 2) told Variety it “would be dope” to come back for Euphoria season 3, but that “I don’t really talk to them anymore.” And after Angus Cloud's (Fez) tragic passing, some fans were calling for HBO Max to cancel the series.

But when we finally do see the series again, it’s safe to say that we’ll see more of the main cast: Zendaya (Rue), Sydney Sweeney, (Cassie), Hunter Schafer (Jules), Alexa Demie (Maddy), Jacob Elordi (Nate), Maude Apatow (Lexi), and more – but who knows? The production team may surprise us with new additions, like they did with Dominic Fike’s Elliot.

How many Euphoria seasons are there?

Eddy Chen / HBO

There are currently two seasons of Euphoria — both of which you can stream on HBO Max now. And it sounds like Euphoria season 3 will be the final installment. The Euphoria cast is contracted for the junior season, and according to a Variety source, they're all committed to seeing the story "through to the end with a third season."

This post has been updated.

The dreaded time has come for me to retire the duffel bags collecting dust in my closet. They’ve been by my side since my early college days and accompanied me during multiple trips to New York City at the beginning of my relationship. Now? Uh, they’re hanging on by a thread hence their haphazard storage location. Don't even get me started on my tote bags 🫠.

As much as it pains me to think about parting ways with them, I know it’s time for me to give myself a major travel upgrade. It’s not like we have to sacrifice style over function anymore so I’m giving myself permission to embrace new things. Interested in seeing which duffel bags I've been eyeing? Keep scrolling to see the 9 picks that are my shopping radar!

Shop Stylish Duffel Bags Here!

CALPAK Travel Stevyn Rolling Duffel (Cheetah)

My S.O. has family in Virginia and NYC so it's inevitable that we'll be traveling with a busy toddler this year. While searching for duffel bags, I came across this rolling design by CALPAK. The cheetah print caught my eye first, but the wheels and separate shoe compartment feature pulled me in. Someone clearly understood that some of us aren't that great at packing our shoes and clothes in one big space.

BÉIS The Commuter Duffel (Beige)

I'm not doing much commuting these days (thank goodness), but this still seems like one of the best weekender duffel bags I've come across. I love bags that have multiple exterior pockets and this design by BÉIS isn't short on that. It's also super roomy inside which means I can pack at least 2-3 outfits, bras, underwear, and even my compact water bottle without wondering if I've overpacked.

Vera Bradley Weekender Travel Bag (Magnifique Floral)

I'm not above cute floral weekender duffel bags at all. I'm actually drawn to them now that I'm a little older so I guess this means my grandma was on to something with her love for floral things. Anyway, the exterior pockets on this bag are zippered so that'll keep your miscellaneous essentials safe and secure. I already know you'll probably pack extra red lipstickor face wash to get around TSA's strict rules because I will too!

Michael Kors Jet Set Travel Extra-Large Weekender Bag

This bag is speaking to the part of me that's ultra-feminine. I love my earth tone colors like hunter green and taupe, but pink will always cradle my heart with its stylish appeal. This weekender bag may not have all the spacious features as the other duffel bags I've mentioned, but sometimes I'm willing to break the rules by choosing style over function.

Lulu's Oversized Beige Weekender Bag

Not everyone wants a patterned or colorful bag so I've been eyeing this weekender duffle bag for the moments I don't want to draw to much attention to myself in the airport. It only has interior storage options which makes it perfect for those quick "Please spend the night" moments 👀.

CALPAK Stevyn Duffel Bag with Shoe Compartment (Daisy)

This design is so nice, I had to add it twice except this one doesn't have wheels! I like to think of this as the sister or friend who doesn't have kids of CALPAK's rolling duffel bag. The handle straps make it easy to carry your essentials inside and you still get the cool shoe compartment feature!

Minted Botanical Cascade Fillmore Duffel Bag

I didn't know Minted sold duffel bags so I was ecstatic when I found this cute design that somehow reminds me of growing up in Florida. Truthfully, this bag was inspired by the famous San Francisco landmark so that also checks out. It has side-panel pockets that keep your smaller accessories in place and it has a interior pocket that can safely house your wallet.

Also, there's no need to check this bag in because it can fit securely in the overhead space.

Under Armour Favorite Duffel Bag

If your next adventure involves a camping trip where you'll be doing a ton of hiking, you need a sturdy duffel bag. Under Armour's designed this one to comfortably secure your belongings and allow you to transport them without feeling weighed down.

If you just want to take this to the gym, we won't judge you. In this day and age, having options isn't always a bad thing!

I'm waiting for season 3 of Bridgerton with baited breath, and if there's one thing I'm sure of, it's that this season will be romantic. Everything about the costumes, set design, and even the hair and makeup is even dreamier than season 1 and season 2! Netflix just dropped a whole batch of new images from the new TV show and I've already analyzed them all so you don't have to. Whip up a Bridgerton recipe and let's get scrolling!

Your Latest Look At Bridgerton Season 3

Image via Netflix

Eloise Bridgerton has always been sassy, and it looks like that won't stop in Bridgerton season 3.

Image via Netflix

I can't wait to see Hannah Dodd step into the role of Francesca Bridgerton and to play some amazing music. The show is known for its classical covers of pop songs — will we see Francesca play some Taylor Swift?

Image via Netflix

Nicola Coughlan's Penelope Featherington might be the star of the show this year, but (based on her expression) that doesn't mean the season will be smooth sailing. Is she annoyed with Colin? Her mother? Her sisters? The answer is probably D: all of the above.

Image via Netflix

Speaking of Penelope's mother, Lady Featherinton looks very springlike in shades of purple, pink, and green. Just like Penelope is redoing her wardrobe this year, it looks like her family could be following in her footsteps. I'm here for it!

Image via Netflix

Alice and Will look amazing in their new fashions, but it looks like there might be some trouble.

Image via Netflix

There is a lot going on in this Bridgerton season 3 pic and I need to dissect it immediately. Eloise looks distressed, Benedict looks concerned, and no one else is paying attention. I've always loved Benedict and Eloise's relationship, and I can't wait to see how that develops this season, and even in season 4!

Image via Netflix

I wish I could spend my days sitting in a garden with impeccable jewelry and a fan. However, my real question is: who's Penelope looking at? I'm betting it could be Colin Bridgerton. An early clip from Bridgerton season 3 showed Penelope finally confronting Colin about his horrible comments in season 2 and I need him to apologize more than I've ever needed anything.

Image via Netflix

Adjoa Andoh looks absolutely radiant as Lady Danbury, and I'm sure she will continue to slay all season long.

Image via Netflix

Colin Bridgerton looks as moody as ever. No one should be this moody after a bunch of summer travels!!

Image via Netflix

Penelope Featherington might be wearing pale seafoam for a lot of Bridgerton season 3, but it looks like she is also adding some darker jewel tones into the mix. Is she in her Reputation era?

Image via Netflix

It's up to Queen Charlotte to pick another Diamond of the Season, and judging by the look on her face, it won't be an easy task this year. But no matter how tough things get, I love that Brimsley is always right by her side!

Image via Netflix

It looks like tensions continue to mount between Penelope Featherington and Cressida Cowper...

Image via Netflix

...but that a new friendship might be blossoming between Cressida and Eloise Bridgerton? Needless to say, I am *shocked.*

Image via Netflix

Penelope looks incredible in her new fashions, and I'm convinced this is yet another tease for Penelope and Colin's highly-anticipated mirror scene.

Image via Netflix

There's nothing like a sibling card game with a glass of fresh lemonade, IYKYK. I hope Hyacinth beats all her siblings at every game from here on out.

Image via Netflix

I love the Bridgerton home more than anything. The shades of blue! The texture! The lighting! Add this to an Architectural Digest celebrity home tour STAT.

When it comes to trending sneakers the past couple of years, chances are you're thinking of one of two popular Adidas sneakers — the Sambas or the Gazelles. Both shoes are having an extreme resurgence as of late being worn by the likes of Bella Hadid, Harry Styles, and so many more! These three striped shoes can often get confused for each other with their extremely similar look, so we have one question: what is the difference between them? And why were such similar shoes made both by Adidas? Let's talk about it.

How long have the Sambas been around?

Photo via Adidas

The history of the Adidas Sambas can be traced back to 1950's according to their website. On their blog they say, "Contrary to popular belief, the Samba was not initially created for the World Cup or directly inspired by the Brazilian dance form. Instead, it emerged from a football game in 1950s Germany, where its exceptional performance on icy pitches earned it the nickname 'Samba.'" These iterations of the sneaker came with different features to allow for better function, movement, and mobility for the football players (pictured above in the 1972 re-edition).

How long have Gazelles been around?

Photo via Adidas

Whether for street style or street training, Gazelles have been used by so many over the years. While many people think they date back to the 1970's as a training shoe, their history goes back even further to the 1960's. The Adidas websitestates, "However, the Gazelle's history goes back even further. Its predecessor, the "Olympiade" model from the early 1960s, laid the foundation for the Gazelle's success. The oldest known Gazelle, a red 1965 prototype, showcased the shoe's early design elements and set the stage for what was to come."

Not unlike the Sambas, the Gazelles also went through many re-editions before evolving into the beloved streetwear staple that we know of it today. It also went through many international releases in the '80's like France (advertisement pictured above), Japan, and other various countries.

How do you compare Sambas vs Gazelles?

Photo via Adidas

Upon first glance, the shoes really do look quite a lot alike. They both have the same Adidas low-top vibe that we all know and love. Plus, they also share the similarity with the classic Adidas three stripes on the side with zig-zags on all sides of the stripes. But that's about where the buck stops, similarity-wise.

Now, what are the differences? Well you can immediately tell the difference just based on the sole alone. While the Sambas have a rubber gum sole while the Gazelles feature a rubber basic sole. Then, in regards to the rest of the shoe, you can see differences in the tongue — Sambas almost always have a white tongue, not matching the shoe color. The bottoms of the shoes are also different, with a more basic design on the Gazelles and a more complex design on the Sambas.

Unfortunately, we can't tell you how to pick between the two when shopping for new shoes. Our advice? Buy one pair in every very cool color. 😘

Who's collaborated with Adidas for these shoes?

Photo via Gucci

Many people have done collaborations for Gazelles and Sambas alike. We absolutely loved the Harry Styles/Gucci collab (shown above in the metallic gold). Another fan-favorite at the moment is the Wales Bonner collab, featuring cheetah print sambas that shook the world to its core, quickly becoming THE It-Girl shoe for spring 2024. Every cool, fashionable, scandi-style-loving fashionista is wearing them — so much so that I had to snag a pair for myself!

What are the best tips on how to snag the styles while they last?

Photo via Adidas

  1. Always sign up for notifications for which style and shoe you want to be notified when it's back in stock and to receive notifications so you get notified as SOON as new collars are released.
  2. Sign up for emails and check with smaller retailers like Nordstrom, Net-a-porter, and stores that carry Adidas! Chances are they'll have sizes and styles in stock that are sold out on the Adidas website.
