Everything From $60 Burritos To Hydration Tips: The Ultimate Foodie's Guide To Coachella 2023

Just like the headlining entertainment, festival food get bigger and better every year. The food at Coachella was certainly plentiful, with stands surrounding the outskirts of the field and lines of people waiting for their grub. There’s a general admission area and a VIP area, but no matter which you have access to you can’t go wrong with the eats. Although the only caveat? Insanely inflated prices, which are unfortunately par for the course at an event like Coachella.

With it being my first time attending and being a natural foodie, I was eager to see what the eating situation was all about — it was more a question of “where and when?” than anything else. After spending three days in the desert (with most of my time being spent at the Heineken House beer garden) I put together the ultimate foodie guide ahead of Coachella Weekend Two. Ya know, for when you’re just craving that late night quesadilla, which I am most definitely guilty of.

Scout The Area

This seems like an obvious first step, but there are so many vendors at the festival, and the options can be overwhelming. Luckily, alongside all those choices you’ll find a plethora of vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options for those that need it. My advice would be to do a lap (or two—we did three) and see what you’re craving before zoning in on one vendor.

You’ll wanna make time for this before it gets dark, that way you know exactly where you’re headed before the desert sun goes dim. Trust me, the field gets packed with people, so a game plan (or at least an idea of a location) is definitely a must. Coachella offers everything from Chinese noodles to açaí bowls to oysters to stacked burgers and fries.

Prepare To Pay...A Lot

Your Coachella passes pave the way for your food journey here, but they don’t cover the costs. It’s rare to find any foods under $20, no matter what you order. My brisket mac and cheese was $24, and couldn’t have been more than a few ounces. I mean regular hot coffee went for around $10, so it’s no surprise other drinks were often over $13. Basically, this viral TikTok about two burritos and two coffees costing $60+ really captures it all perfectly.

Pick Out Your Drinks First

Like me, many festival goers opted to grab drinks first. There are some adorable Aperol Spritz stands, a designated Absolut “Land” (AKA a mini club in the center of the grounds), and several other cocktail bars throughout. The VIP section provided a bar smack dab in the middle — with pretty regular drink options — in which I grabbed a tequila pineapple.

My favorite spot to go though, was Heineken House. Besides the fact that it was comparable to one big rager with Dj’s and popping music, you could grab the brand’s newest varietal (a Heineken Silver), the OG Heineken, Heineken 0.0 (a non alcoholic version), Dos Equis Ranch Water (a hard seltzer), or water. I always made a pit stop there before heading out to see my fave artists.

You can check out what a great time I had at Heineken House on Instagram! :)

Do Dinner Early

I'll say it again: 🗣️ Do. Dinner. Earlier. I can’t tell you how many times my friends waited in line for soooo long just to grab some brisket mac and cheese (like I did!). The VIP section was pretty swift, but their seating always lacked unless you opted to eat between 4 to 5PM. Once the clock hits 8PM, people start to swarm for dinner. If you’re in a rush to see an artist you love or visit a new attraction, my recommendation is to get the food out of the way first — plus, it makes room to try out some delicious snacks later!

Grab A Quick Bite Before The Final Show

If you’re a fan of the headliners (this year’s artists being Bad Bunny, Rosalía, and Frank Ocean), don’t wait to snag a snack or dessert until the last minute. Especially if you’re in VIP, the Coachella main stage is located right in front of that entrance, so it starts to get flooded with general admission ticket holders very quickly. Plus, the main acts don’t perform until about 11PM (like Frank Ocean who was late by an hour), so you don’t want to harbor a hungry stomach.

There are several churro stands, fried chicken options, ice cream offerings, and more. The Indio Central Market (next to Heineken House) is insanely busy, but has tons of tables and late night bites. I opted for some delicious poutine fries in the VIP area to get me through the final show.

Don't Skip The Water Stations

One tactic that really impressed me about Coachella was the use of portable water stations, so make sure to take advantage of those. They were located at several prime spots throughout the grounds, which allowed you to refill your bottle easily. What shocked me the most were the prices of water — only $2 a pop — which is pretty much unheard of these days. Coachella definitely wants you to stay hydrated while frolicking in the hot desert!

It's festival season, and we're here for all the boho chic style inspo, new music, and FOMO-inducing moments that go down at the best after parties. After years of watching Coachella moments play out on social media, I finally ventured out to the desert for myself.

My very first Coachella was filled with the stuff of festival season legends. By day, I wore my best festival 'fits (and all the SPF) for the debut of Sabrina Carpenter's "Espresso" and Olivia Rodrigo's surprise performance. By night, I went to dreamy parties at desert mansions and came narrowly close to Taylor Swift at Neon Carnival.

But one of my favorite experiences of all didn't require an exclusive invite or high ticket price — Pinterest's Manifestation Station, the social platform's first-ever (and totally free!) pop-up at Coachella. Keep reading for everything you need to know about the Manifestation Station!

Coachella Beauty & Fashion Trends For 2024

Image via Pinterest

As always, Pinterest Trends is one step ahead of even the most stylish among us. They're bringing the most aesthetic micro trends to real life, no matter how niche. A team of styling and beauty experts is helping festival-goers lean into the looks we've all been pinning, from light and airy coquette and fairycore to dark feminine aesthetics like Lana Del Rey-core. It's safe to say that everyone looked so fab that I had to get in on it all!

A Coquette Fairycore Makeover

Image via Pinterest

I arrived at Coachella in a light floral set (one of my go-to warm weather outfits) and decided on the spot that I wanted to tap further into the fairycore and coquette aesthetic. The Pinterest team didn't skip a beat in helping me achieve my perfect festival look.

Image via Pinterest

We started with a light blue eye shadow to tap into the sugar plum vibes. As a maximalist who loves a little extra sparkle, I naturally opted into the inclusion of micro pearls to frame my eyes.

Image via Pinterest

Like every Pinterest girlie as of late, I'm still stuck on the Y2K and bow trends. There was a huge selection of bows in every size and color to choose from, but I settled on alternating baby pink and periwinkle. We added butterfly clips to my braids and topped off the look with more pearls in my hair.

I simply do not do scary movies. That being said, the A Quiet Place movies are one franchise I will always make an exception for. They focus on family and relationships in a such a beautiful way that I could truly shout about from the rooftops. John Krasinski saying he made the OG film as a love letter to his family? His character signing "I have always loved you" to his daughter at the end? Well, now I want to rewatch the movies — and there's no better time because A Quiet Place: Day One is coming this summer!

A Quiet Place: Day One | Official Trailer 2 (2024 Movie) - Lupita Nyong'o, Joseph Quinn

Just like the beginning of A Quiet Place II, this prequel starts on the day the Death Angels came to earth. But instead of a small town, Lupita Nyong'o and Joseph Quinn's characters are stuck in the scariest place on earth: New York City. Now they have to work together to figure out how to get out of midtown (with Lupita's cat in tow). As someone who lives in the city, the idea of having to be silent in such a loud, rowdy environment sends shivers down my spine.

When does the A Quiet Place prequel come out?

You can see A Quiet Place: Day One in theaters June 28, 2024. Check out the rest of this year's summer movies to see what else is on the way.

Coachella was full of surprises this year, from $60 burritos to Frank Ocean’s controversial set. But if anything could make up for these losses, it’s Zendaya. The Euphoria lead surprised fans during Labrinth’s performance on Saturday, singing along to “I’m Tired” and “All For Us” from the cult classic teen drama.

Dressed in knee-high leather boots and a pink corset dress, with her hair flowing effortlessly down her back, the star stunned in a festival-ready look.

Following her performance, the award-winning actress took to Instagram to share her appreciation: “I cannot express my gratitude enough for this magical night. Thank you my brother Labrinth for inviting me and giving me the most beautiful safe space to be on a stage again. And to the crowd tonight ... wow ... my heart is so full,” Zendaya wrote. “I can’t thank you enough for the love I received tonight, made all my nerves melt away, I'm so grateful.”

The retired Disney Channel star also posted a video with a message for her fans: “I have never heard screaming like that in my entire life,” she shared. “As soon as I turned the corner, I couldn’t hear anything. I couldn’t hear anything but you guys. I don’t know what happened, I don’t know what I sounded like. But I was like, you know what? I'm just gonna have fun. And whatever. You know ... it was so special. Everybody was singing along, and it was so cool. So so cool. So thank you all for welcoming me back on that stage with open arms.”

Zendaya - Replay

Zendaya’s appearance marked her first time performing live in over seven years. Zendaya released new music a decade ago, with the hit single, “Replay,” on her self-titled album. We hope to see the star hit the stage “again and again,” but until then, at least we have season three of Euphoria to look forward to.

The Real Housewives of New Yorkseason 14 and Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip: RHONY Legacywere seasons for the books. We got a peak into the lives of New York's rich and famous, both past and present, and to nobody's surprise...we want more! This long-standing, well-loved franchise saw a lot in its heyday — I mean, just look at what happened when they put the OGs together for one trip — and it continues to thrill audiences with new fabulous faces. But what can we expect from a new season of RHONY? With rumors swirling about who's set to return, here's everything we know about The Real Housewives of New York season 15.

Is "The Real Housewives of New York" coming back for season 15?

Image via Bravo

For a while, there was no official word from Bravo about whether or not we were getting more RHONY...but we're stayed hopeful! Well, all that waiting paid off because Bravo posted on Instagram that season 15 is a-go! Andy Cohen recently told Us Weeklythat the "next season" should fix some of the bumps this reboot faced, so we're excited to see what that means for the upcoming RHONY season!

Who's in the cast for "The Real Housewives of New York" season 15?

Image via Bravo

It was pretty unclear who was returning to The Real Housewives of New York. Most notably outspoken about her return (or potential lack thereof) was Jenna Lyons. She told Jimmy Fallon that she wasn't sure if she'll return for another season, which would have been a total bummer TBH! Jenna's sublime style and unique personality added so much to the show's dynamic last year, and it would definitely be missed.

LUCKILY, the entire season 14 is set to return for RHONY season 15 — Jenna included! Watch the adorable announcement here.

Reports are in that THE Rebecca Minkoff is joining the cast, too. While it's unclear if she's a friend of the show or a main cast member, I can't wait to watch this amazing female founder take the show by the horns! Meanwhile, other folks have different feelings about the new housewife.

According to Page Six, Sai De Silva isn't too interested in Minkoff's presence on the show. In what she must have thought was a private conversation, De Silva shared that she finds Minkoff to be "boring" and that she's "unresponsive" to the cast's attempts to "take her down." Whoops!

The show hasn't even started, and I already can't wait to watch this all unfold...

Is Luann de Lesseps coming back to "The Real Housewives of New York"?

Image via Bravo

Matt Rogers recently asked Countess Luann outright about the possibility of a return to the RHONY world. According to Matt, he heard that the upcoming season would have Brynn Whitfield, Erin Lichy, Jessel Taank, Sonja Morgan, Luann de Lesseps, and Dorinda Medley with Ubah Hassan returning as a friend of the cast. Luann neither confirmed nor denied this IRL, but cryptically commented on Instagram this February about the rumors.

However, as of right now, Countess Luann de Lesseps isn't an announced cast season 15 cast member.

Image via Instagram

What do the other cast members think about these rumors? According to Us Weekly, Brynn Whitfield is "open to anything" when it comes to filming with current and former cast members. Meanwhile, Erin Lichy told Access Hollywoodthat they're "not joining forces with (RHONY) Legacy."

Who got fired from "RHONY"?

Image via Bravo

After filming RHONY Legacy, investigative reporting by Vanity Fairfound that Ramona Singer allegedly used a racial slur towards a Black crew member — among other racially-driven misconduct allegations from years past and present. Ramona vehemently denied the use of the slur, but was still asked not to attend BravoCon in 2023. It's very likely that her time at Bravo is now up. According to PEOPLE, Ramona also isn't employed by real estate company Douglas Elliman anymore.

Who is the richest on "The Real Housewives of New York"?

Image via Bravo

According to Cosmopolitan, Jenna Lyons is worth approximately $5 million dollars — the most net-worth of the current cast for The Real Housewives of New York. However, this could change if she decides not to return to the show! The next in line would be Brynn Whitfield, coming in at a worth of $3 million dollars.

When will "The Real Housewives of New York" season 15 air?

Image via Bravo

Allegedly filming for The Real Housewives of New York season 15 hasn't even started yet. As of February 7, Erin Lichy wasn't even sure when filming would start, according to Access Hollywood. So everything seems very TBD at the moment.

Is there a trailer for "The Real Housewives of New York" season 15?

Image via Bravo

Since filming is still up in the air, we definitely don't have a trailer yet. We're definitely keeping our eyes peeled for the moment something drops, though!

In Mother of the Bride (which you can watch on Netflix now!), Brooke Shields' Lana is surprised to learn her daughter Emma (Miranda Cosgrove) is getting married in Thailand — but she's even more surprised when she finds out Emma's future father-in-law (Benjamin Bratt) is the man who broke her heart in college. Naturally, I had to ask the cast for their best advice on running into an ex!

"I think being a decent and kind person is the first thing that you should try to do," Sean Teale, who plays Emma's fiancé RJ, says. "Keep it light if it's a stressful situation because that's the best way through anything is just being kind and decent, and then you can go away feeling okay about it."

"Yeah, I would say remain calm, try not to ramble because I've run into an ex before at the movies and yeah, I rambled," Miranda adds.

Miranda Cosgrove & Sean Teale Hung Out With Elephants During “Mother of the Bride”

Not only does Lana have to navigate her relationship drama, but she also has to deal with the fact Emma's wedding is totally taken over by social media, a concept that was really appealing to Brooke Shields from the beginning.

"It has to unfold, not necessarily in the way that it would have organically unfolded with a mother and her only daughter going to pick out the dress and going to plan the napkins and all those things that you sort of dream about doing for your daughter," Brooke says. "So that was a really interesting thing, for that to be usurped and sort of [replaced with] somebody else's ideas."

"The script I read, [Emma's] vocation was creating this amazing website that all the sponsors were excited about," Benjamin Bratt says. "But over the course of shooting it, I think the filmmakers recognized that it's not about websites anymore, it's actually about TikTok and social media."

Ironically, the cast didn't find themselves online too much during filming! "I used my phone a lot less than I would have," Sean Teale says. "Especially during the shoot, we spent our whole time messing around if we weren't working."

"Especially with the time change too," Miranda Cosgrove adds. "It took a while to get used to that. So it kind of just makes you feel like you're off the grid. Being in Thailand was like a little getaway."

The fact that Emma is basically a social media star means I HAD to ask Miranda about iCarly, and whether Emma and Carly would get along. "I definitely think that they would be super close," she agrees. "But I think that Emma would probably wanna, like, manage Carly or something. Like she'd wanna manage her social media and come up with ideas and stuff for her channel."

Brooke Shields Spills On Working With Chad Michael Murray For Mother of the Bride

Miranda Cosgrove (and Brooke Shields for that matter) isn't the only member of the cast who's experienced the limelight from a young age. The cast also includes Chad Michael Murray, and as a One Tree Hill and A Cinderella Story STAN, I had to ask what it was like working with the Gilmore Girls actor. "You know what, I'm like 'Those abs have got to be painted on,'" Brooke jokes. "No, you know what was amazing was seeing him with his family and his stunning wife...It's picture perfect."

"[The story is about] that bond between parents and children, and many of us, including Chad, are kind of on board with it from our own personal experiences," Benjamin Bratt says. "A rom-com doesn't really succeed unless it has that very delicate, hard-to-achieve balance of outrageous humor that's gonna make you laugh out loud and real humanity."

"Brooke is...one of the most generous kind, empathetic, inclusive, enthusiastic actors I've ever worked with," he continues. "She loves what she's doing, she's always checking in with everyone, not just with other actors, but with the craft service person, 'Are you okay?' She's so maternal in that way. And it's really not an exaggeration, but it creates an environment where you really feel supported."

"For me, it's like, ok, it's pretty great to have Chad and Benjamin vying for your attention," Brooke adds. "To be this age of an actress and sort of be like, 'Oh my God, not one but two of them get to fight for me?' Like, that's sweet and funny."

"I have worked with men in the past and they're threatened by a female lead or there's a delicate nature to it," she continues more seriously. "It's tricky. And you see these two beautiful men who take their job really seriously bring brilliant nuance to the dramatic scenes, the funny scenes, all of that, who are okay also being a bit more of an object of desire as well. I mean, the slow motion of [Chad] putting spray on his body and [Benjamin] coming out of the shower, it's something that you don't see a lot, you usually see it in the reverse."

"Feel free to objectify any time," Benjamin jokes. "If Brooke is gonna [do it] I have zero issue with that."
