Say goodbye to Big Ben and hello to the Big Apple because Joe Goldberg is back where it all began. The final season of You is finally coming to Netflix and in addition to some *very* exciting casting rumors, we have a look at what to expect from the new TV show, thanks to lead actor Penn Badgley! Here's everything we know about You season 5.

Where is You season 5 filming?

Image via Jill Livesay/Brit + Co

You season 5 is filming in New York City this March! Brit + Co's Jill Livesay spotted filming setup on the Upper East Side for March 27, 2024 and it looks like Joe will be returning to Mooney's bookstore! (I love a good bookstore).

You was renewed for one final season in March of 2023. Seeing Joe back in New York City is the perfect setting to round out the series. Showrunner Sera Gamble will be an executive producer this time around, while exec producers Michael Foley and Justin W. Lo will be showrunners.

We got a first official look at You season 5 during Netflix's TUDUM event in Brazil. "I've heard you're on the edge of your seats, waiting and theorizing about the epic conclusion to You," lead actor Penn Badgley says in the teaser. "More importantly, you're considering what, or should I say who, Joe will come up against as he finally returns to New York. Though I can't say who just yet, we all know there are many loose ends from Joe's past."

When is You season 5 out?

Image via Netflix

You. (L to R) Charlotte Ritchie as Kate, Penn Badgley as Joe Goldberg in episode 410 of You.

Considering season 4 premiered on Netflix in February of 2023, we originally expected to see the final season hit the streamer in 2024. However, because both the writers' strike and the SAG-AFTRA actors' strike delayed production, the release date shifted. Considering season 4 started filming in March 2022 ahead of its February 2023 release, we can expect You season 5 to hit Netflix in the spring of 2025.

How many episodes will there be in You season 5?

Image via Netflix

You. (L to R) Penn Badgley as Joe Goldberg, Amy-Leigh Hickman as Nadia Farran in episode 406 of You.

Each season of You so far has had 10 episodes, so we're expecting the same amount for Joe's sendoff. That being said, we don't know whether they'll release all at once or as a Part 1 and Part 2 like season 4.

Who's in the You season 5 cast?

Image via Netflix

You. (L to R) Dallas Skye Gatson as Juliette, Tati Gabrielle as Marienne in episode 408 of You.

Charlotte Ritchie is returning as Kate Galvin, but it looks like she won't be the only character we recognize. The TUDUM teaser includes some familiar faces like Marienne, Paco, Henry, Ellie, and Nadia, and while none of these characters are confirmed for You season 5, we'd love to see literally all of them.

It looks like we should see Madeline Brewer, Anna Camp, andGriffin Matthews as well.

Is Ellie in season 5 of You?

Image via Beth Dubber/Netflix

You. (L to R) Penn Badgley as Joe Goldberg and Jenna Ortega as Ellie Alves in episode 207 of You.

Jenna Ortega's Ellie was an important character in season 2, and after her sister Delilah is murdered, Joe gives her money to go into hiding so she's not framed for the crime. (Unfortunately, Joe is the one behind Delilah's death, Ellie just doesn't know it). Ellie is mentioned throughout the third season, and was even supposed to appear in season 4 until You and Wednesday had scheduling conflicts.

Is Love alive in season 5 of You?

Image via John P. Fleenor/Netflix

You. (L to R) Victoria Pedretti as Love Quinn in episode 301 of You.

Gamble confirmed in a 2021 interview with Newsweek that Love really did die at the end of You season 3. "I'm not trying to be, 'Was there a parachute under that seat in the airplane?' She is [dead]," Gamble says. "We've done that before with Candace but you know, there were questions you could ask about that. I feel like you literally watch every second of her [Love] dying, right on the screen."

Are you excited for You season 5? Do you hope Jenna Ortega returns? Let us know in the comments, and follow us on Facebook for more TV news!

There are some movies that never really leave you, that are so transformative they touch your soul no matter what stage of life you're in. The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants is without a doubt one of those films, thanks to both its complexity and its impeccable use of "Unwritten" by Natasha Beddingfeld. It completely transformed the way I look at my female friendships — and myself. The original 2005 film was followed up by a sequel in 2008, and we have been thinking about a third installment ever since, *especially* since the cast stays so close. On December 15, Alexis Bledel, Blake Lively, and Amber Tamblyn all came out to celebrate America Ferrera's work in Barbie, and then had a FaceTime celebration after she was nominated for Best Supporting Actress at the Oscars! This friendship makes me emotional.

Image via Amber Tamblyn/Instagram

The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants cast still makes time to see each other, and in March of 2024, Blake Lively joined an episode of Amber Tamblyn's Substack show Further Ado. In the episode, she shared how much their friendship has shaped who Blake is as a person today.

"I can't talk about who I am today without you," Blake says. "You have been such an intrinsic part of forming who I am today and who I want to be and all of those things because you've been with me since I was 16 years old. The first experience I ever had in Hollywood was alongside you."

I cannot get enough of these women, and their friendship with each other. They really represent "love your sisters and love yourself" so well!

Image via Blake Lively/Instagram

"The Sisterhood came through all in pink to celebrate my performance in Barbie last night," America Ferrera posted on Instagram. "I love these women with all my heart."

The Barbie screening in NYC (hosted by SAG-AFTRA) was followed by a Q&A — and, according to Blake Lively's post, some quality time!

"Some weeks are for the man in your life. Some weeks are for the women," Blake says. "I’ve known [America Ferrera] for 20 years. Since I was 16. I’ve watched her live, grow, soar, fall, make, break, push, fight, win, create, forge, disrupt, way make, lead, lead, lead. That speech she gives as Gloria felt as close to real as anything I’ve ever seen on screen. Because that’s who she is...It’s one of my life’s honors to witness her show so many women not only what’s possible, but HOW it’s done. I love you sister. Always. Pants = Love. Love your sisters. Love yourself."

"I’m so proud of our girl in such a profoundly deep way, and the path she’s blazing for herself, and women everywhere," Amber Tamblyn says in her post. "What a joy to come together in this way, in each other’s arms— the arms we’ve held, and linked with, and cradled as friends for 20 years— in honor of a woman who continues to take my breath away with everything she does, and is. When I tell you some things are forever, this right here is it."

Image via America Ferrera/Instagram

The friend group also had a virtual reunion after the Oscar nominations, hopping on the phone to scream together, as all girlfriends do ;). "There was a lot of screaming with some of my sisters on FaceTime," America says on Instagram. "I’m still processing. Needless to say- wow! What a thing! Childhood dream realized."

I literally cannot get enough of this quartet, and I want to see them in everything, forever. Here's everything we know about The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 3!

Will there be a Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 3?

Image via Warner Bros. Entertainment

Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 3 hasn't been confirmed, but it's an idea the cast would love to make happen! "I really hope so, I would love it! It would be the best thing," Alexis told Jimmy Fallon in 2018. "We just pitched a third movie, I hope it comes together, it would be so great."

"I think [Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 3] could really happen," Blake said in a 2018 interview with ET. "I think that people who love the movie want to see it. So, I mean, fans have gotten bigger movies made. Deadpool is all thanks to the fans. So I'm saying we'll do it."

“We love each other, and we love this series, and we are so proud of the work that we did together that it would be wonderful to come back at do another one,” America told PEOPLEin 2019.

After the group's reunion in 2024, America admitted to ET that the intense positive reaction surprises her every time. "Our energy goes off the charts," she says. "When the four of us are in the same room, it's like we're back on the set of the first movie and we never stop talking over each other. Or, you know, it's the exact same dynamic we started 20 years ago."

When it comes to Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 3, America Ferrera says it would be a "good idea," especially as we get closer to the original movie's 20th anniversary next year.

Who's starring in Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 3?

Image via Warner Bros. Entertainment

If Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 3 did happen, it would definitely feature America Ferrera, Blake Lively, Amber Tamblyn, and Alexis Bledel. These four women are the heartbeat of the story, and it wouldn't be able to happen without them! We'd also love to see returning cast members like Leonardo Nam as Brian, Lucy Hale as Effie, Michael Rady as Kostas, and Jesse Williams as Leo.

How many Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants are there?

The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants series by Ann Brashares has five books in total: Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, The Second Summer of the Sisterhood, Girls in Pants, Forever in Blue, and Sisterhood Everlasting. Each story brings Bridget, Lena, Carmen, and Tibby back together for transformation, connection, and a summer that changes the course of their lives.

Who does Lena end up with in Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants?

Image via Warner Bros. Entertainment

Lena ends up with Kostas in both the Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants movies and books, but the way in which she ends up with him changes in the adaptation. In the films, Lena and Kostas get together after they reunite in Greece (and the other girls help convince Lena to forgive him for a past hurt). In the book series, Lena finds him at his farm in Pennsylvania.

Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 3 isn't the only threequel we're hoping for — Princess Diaries 3 is also reportedly in the works! Are there any other sequels or spinoffs you want to see in 2024? Let us know in the comments.
