Kendall Jenner Is Worried That Her Career Might Be “Tarnished” in a New KUWTK Teaser

While Kylie Jenner is getting her very own show (prepare yourself for The Life of Kylie, reality TV fans!), things aren’t going so smoothly for her big sis, Kendall Jenner. Not only was she caught up in one of the biggest advertising fails we’ve witnessed in ages with her controversial Pepsi commercial, a new Keeping Up With the Kardashians teaser reveals that she’s now worrying that her career might end up totally “tarnished.” But not for the reason you’d expect.

While Kendall Jenner was apparently “traumatized” by the reaction to her Pepsi commercial, it turns out that it’s not the only career-related situation that’s been causing her concern. In a new teaser clip for Keeping Up With the Kardashians, the 21-year-old stressed over an upcoming Vogue review of her clothing line.

“F*ck! I don’t know why I’m so nervous,” she exclaims while sorting through samples of her collection and chatting with a platinum blonde Kylie. “I’m really proud of the line, but I’ve worked really hard to be taken seriously and recognized in Vogue and in the fashion world. If this doesn’t go as well as we hope, it might tarnish some things in the modeling world, so it’s even more frightening.”

Granted, the powerhouse magazine can indeed make or break you in the fashion biz, but considering Kendall Jenner’s recent Pepsi-related troubles, we’d have to say that a bad Vogue review is among the least of her worries, right now. As she says herself, “Everyone is looking for a reason to talk sh*t. I don’t want this to be that reason.” Don’t worry, Kendall, it’s not. *cringes while checking out people’s reactions to the Pepsi commercial again*

Keeping Up With The Kash: How The KarJenners Keep Getting Richer

When we think of the Kardashian-Jenners, we think of one thing: money. And lots of it.

As far as the pop culture icons' net worths, the number varies between family members, with Kim maxing out at $1.8 billion (yes, with a “B”), Kylie at $600 million, OG momager Kris at $230 million, and Kendall reportedly at $45 million. While these numbers are undoubtedly impressive, nothing fuels the KarJenner clan more than their insatiable desire to capitalize — on anything, anywhere.

To do this, each family member has their own business: Kim's Skims and SKKN, Khloe's Good American, Kendall's 818, Kourtney's Poosh, and Kylie's Kylie Cosmetics (Even Kris and Rob have their own businesses, too.) — all of which are *reportedly* thriving. But despite their exorbitant wealth, the Kardashian-Jenner businesswomen have some (frankly) unusual ways to keep their net flow on the up-and-up.

Here's how the Kardashian-Jenner's net worth keeps growing.

This one is a little, well, off putting — at least for me. If you’re looking for Kardashian-approved items, look no further than Kardashian Kloset, an online marketplace of brand new and pre-loved Kardashian clothing, accessories, and shoes. The site launched in 2019 and is run by Robert Kardashian Sr.’s cousin Cici Bussey (who occasionally pops up on the family's reality TV show). The Kloset is full of pieces from each family member (kids items included), so fans can browse and buy items that may or may not have been touched by the Kardashian Fountain of Youth.

Sure, this may be a normal way to clean out closets. Again, maybe it’s just me, but I don’t think billionaires need to sell their $65,000 alligator Birkin bags (yes, this was actually one of Kylie’s listings) or $450 bra and panty set (thank you, Kris) for pocket change. Don’t they get most of this stuff for free?

Spoiler alert: they do. The family has come under fire for reselling a number of gifted items, much to the dismay of the public. Still, the site is up and running and constantly uploading new inventory — so someone must be buying it.

The Church of Kris

Bow down to our lord, savior, and Kardashian momager, Kris Jenner! In 2009, Kris co-founded California Community Church, a “Christ-centric” church that encourages the public to “bring your mess.” Let’s be honest — this is a tax haven for the Kardashians, and that might be all it is to them.

The family has long been known to attend the celeb-studded megachurch Hillsong, at least since Kanye West was ousted, which makes this "investment" even odder. After a little digging, Nylon found that “Kim gives the traditional 10% of her income as a tithing to the church, which could be lessening her taxable income while also handing Kris money directly. Kim also made the church the beneficiary of her eBay charity auctions, with the church pocketing over $60,000 between 2012 and 2013. Churches are usually exempt from taxes, but in 2016, CCC found itself in a tax scandal with liens for unpaid taxes. While it’s unclear what the money is going to, members are required to pay a $1,000 monthly membership fee, as well as the 10% tithing, coincidentally the same percentage the Momager takes…” Maybe not-so-coincidental, at least if you ask me.

Kendall + Kylie Probably Don’t Know About This

OK — I can believe that Kendall and Kylie were involved with their clothing brand, Kendall + Kylie, in 2012…but now? Forget about it! The brand, which sells everything from okay-quality sweaters to swimwear, smartwatches and hand sanitizer wipes now lines the racks at TJ Maxx, PacSun, and Amazon. Even so, they are still in business after a decade, which is pretty impressive.

Luxury SponCon Giveaway

You’ve probably seen one of the Kardashian-Jenners post a “luxury giveaway” on their socials at one point or another — I know I have. It’s no secret that the KarJenners have used sponsored content (AKA sponcon) to make their millions, but this version appears as “organic content,” and usually Kourtney’s first baby daddy, Scott Disick, is involved.

To enter, hopeful-winners go to Scott’s IG, follow all the brands he’s following, and comment on the giveaway’s post. This viral TikTok breaks down the giveaways pretty nicely, but long story short, each of the brands followed by Disick is paying $25,000 for their involvement — therefore giving $1.8 million(!!!) to the pair who posted, and probably some percentage to the company who hosts these giveaways, Curated Businesses.

These giveaways have drawn some heat. In September 2022, a $40 million lawsuit was filed against Kim and Scott for a lottery that included a trip to Beverly Hills, $100,000, other luxury goods, and the chance to “shop like Kim.” While winners were announced, plaintiffs claim the lottery was (*gasp*) "a front for Curated Businesses to sell personal information to advertisers,” Nylon shared. “Those who entered were allegedly inundated with ads and unsolicited content from hundreds of advertisers.”

Despite the legal trouble, just two months later Khloe posted another giveaway in partnership with Savvy Giveaways for a nursery valued at $10,000. Maybe it's just me, but it seems like a rather large risk with an objectively low reward…but then again I’m not a multimillionaire continually trying to grow my fortune.

Keeping It Klean

Kris isn’t just a church-owner and momager, though (but she does hold the trademark for the latter term). She’s emerging as the face of her own brand, a line of cleaning products called Safely. Co-founded alongside frequent Kardashian business partner and Shark Tank “Shark” Emma Grede and cookbook author Chrissy Teigen (who quickly left the company after bullying a teenager), the brand sets itself apart from the Methods and Cloroxes of the world thanks to its plant-based formulation, which, according to Jenner, is a first in the category. As of today, you can find Safely in thousands of Walmart and Target stores, and through the almost-defunct Bed Bath & Beyond and Amazon.

“Kim Kardashian: Hollywood”

Kim Kardashian: Hollywood is a role playing game that simulates living like Kim K through photo shoots, publicity stunts, and tasks delegated by “Kim” herself. Users run on “energy” to gain fans, make money, and get new outfits, but when your “energy” (inevitably) runs out, you can buy more through one of the many in-app purchases.

KarJenner fans get the opportunity of their dreams — to become besties with Kim, “travel” to chic, exclusive destinations, and rise to extreme fame…all from the comfort of your couch.

Lemme Take This Real Quick

Kourtney recently launched her supplement brand, Lemme, much to the surprise of *basically* everyone. Although Kourtney is known for her healthy lifestyle (How can anyone forget the great Kardashian Candy Controversy?!) But since she shared that she launched Lemme after feeling “pressure” from family — it makes it difficult to believe that she really uses them.

Like I said — I'm not a millionaire. Maybe these are all very-legitimate streams of income. Or maybe not. Anyway, BRB while I take my $65,000 Kylie Jenner Birkin bag to Kris’s church while establishing my (virtual) fame and BFF status with Kim à la Kim Kardashian: Hollywood!

The Official 'La La Land' Account Had The Perfect Response To Ryan Gosling Saying The Movie Poster "Haunts" Him

La La Land might just go down in history as one of the best contemporary films of the 2010s. The soundtrack is amazing, the story is heartbreaking, and any movie that gives us Emma Stone & Ryan Gosling automatically deserves an award. I think about the dancing in this movie all the time, and apparently so does Ryan — just in a different way.

When WSJ Magazine asked if there was one movie from his career he'd redo, Ryan Gosling almost instantly mentions La La Land because of the iconic "A Lovely Night" scene. The number, in which Emma's Mia and his Sebastian (as well as the audience) overlook Los Angeles at sunrise, is one of the most recognizable moments in the movie because it became the film's poster.

“There is a moment that haunts me,” Ryan says during the interview. “We’re dancing, Emma and I, and I didn’t know this would become the poster for the movie. We were supposed to have our hands up, and I thought it would be cool to put my hand [at more of an angle] even though everyone told me it wasn’t cool. I was sure it was cooler."

When the interviewer tells Ryan dancers call that "hamburger hands," he continues the joke, calling himself "Hamburger Hands Gosling over here."

Well, the official La La Land account didn't waste any time and tweeted an edited version on May 3. "Fixed it for you @RyanGosling," the X post says.

While that one hilarious moment might haunt Ryan, the overall filming experience is close to his heart because it's the movie that changed his life. At the stage in his life, "I don't really take roles that are going to put me in some kind of dark place," Ryan tells WSJ Magazine. "The decisions I make, I make them with Eva and we make them with our family in mind first."

"I think La La Land was the first," he adds. I"t was sort of like, 'Oh this will be fun for them too, because even though they're not coming to set, we're practicing piano every day or we're dancing or we're singing.'"

Kendall Jenner Poses With a Cockatoo on the Cover of ‘Vogue’

We’ve seen a lot of crazy Vogue shoots in our day, from Katy Perry’s insane Comme des Garçons spread to Gigi and Bella Hadid’s naked shoot for the mag’s British publication, but Kendall Jenner’s latest cover for Vogue just might top them all!

The model, who has appeared on no less than 13 covers for the mag’s various countries (including the coveted 2016 September issue), just debuted the outlet’s April issue over on her Instagram page, and it includes one very special guest.

“Thrilled to cover @voguemagazine’s April dreamers’ issue!” Jenner wrote. “Vogue continues to make my dreams come true.”

The photo, shot by Mert Atals and Mac Piggott, showcases the elder Jenner sister in a pink Chanel tulle gown with a silver octopus cocktail ring and… a yellow-crested cockatoo. Jenner’s co-model is a tropical bird found in East Timor and in the Indonesian islands of Sulawesi and Lesser Sundas.

The shots found within the mag’s pages were no less eye-popping, with the reality star donning looks from Rodarte, Dolce & Gabbana, Gucci and Maison Margiela, a sparkly sequined Chanel jumpsuit, plus a Rebel Rebel baby’s breath headdress (á la bestie Gigi Hadid on Moschino’s spring 2018 runway) with an out-of-this-world pink furry netted dress.

It’s more than we’ve seen from the fashion darling for a while, who was largely absent from Fashion Month, only walking for a week. As she explained to Vogue, she’s pulling back to spend time doing thing she loves — like riding horses, for instance.

“I made it a point at the beginning of 2017 to consciously slow down, take more time for myself, be more selective, and not just do whatever my agents tell me to do,” she said. “I [rode horses] my whole life — it was my life. I didn’t care for anything else. I didn’t care about boys. This is what makes me really happy.”

The KUWTK star also addressed rumors that she is gay or bisexual (“I don’t think I have a bisexual or gay bone in my whole body, but I don’t know! Who knows!? I’m all down for experience — not against it — but I’ve never been there before”), having babies (“I want to have kids, but at like, 28, 29”), and accusations of sexual harassment and assault in her industry (“Luckily, I haven’t been put into a situation like that ever in my life. I’ve heard about it for so long, I get it. I try and understand it”).

The First Leaks From Dakota Johnson's "Materialists" Confirm Pedro Pascal & Chris Evans' Roles

There are some casting decisions that feel like they're written in the stars. Margot Robbie as Barbie, Lola Tung as The Summer I Turned Pretty's Belly, and Pedro Pascal as Joel in The Last of Us definitely make the list. What I never expected, however, was for Pedro Pascal to be in talks to join two of my other fave actors in a rom-com!! (The other two actors are Dakota Johnson and Chris Evans, in case you're wondering). If you're as excited as I am but don't know much about the new movie, don't worry — I've done all the work so you don't have to. Here's everything we know about director Celine Song's new movie Materialists!

What is Materialists about?

While we haven't gotten an official synopsis on Celine Song's follow up to Past Lives, it looks like Materialists follows a professional NYC matchmaker (likely played by Dakota Johnson), via Deadline. When the matchmaker gets involved with a wealthy man, she realizes she can't shake her feelings for an actor-waiter from her past. Juicy!! It's giving a little bit of It Ends With Us, it's giving a little bit of Playing With Matches. I'm totally here for it!

According to Merriam Webster, a materialist is someone who has a "preoccupation with or stress upon material rather than intellectual or spiritual things." This feels like an indication we'll see these characters have to figure out what's important to them, and whether they prioritize material things or relationships. (But don't we all have to do that?).

Is the Materialists movie filming?

Yes, Materialists is filming in New York City as of April 2024! The first leaked videos from set (thanks to @mickmicknyc) appear to revolve around a wedding (which would make sense if Dakota's character is a matchmaker!). Based on the costumes, my guess is Chris Evans plays the actor-waiter, while Pedro Pascal plays the new man in our leading lady's life. The Vampire Diaries, The Summer I Turned Pretty, Friday Night Lights — will the love triangles never cease?!

Who's in the Materialists cast?

Materialists stars Dakota Johnson, Pedro Pascal, and Chris Evans. We're still waiting to hear about supporting cast! I'd also love to know whether Celine Song will pull a Greta Gerwig (who frequently recasts her beloved actors) and include Past Lives' Greta Lee in the cast.

Materialists just started filming in New York City during the spring of 2024, so my guess is we'll see the movie in the summer or fall of 2025, but it all depends on when filming wraps!

Did A24 produce Past Lives?

Yes, A24 helped produce Celine Song's directorial debut Past Lives (which she also wrote). Past Lives follows childhood friends Nora and Hae Sung, reconnect two decades after Nora's family leaves South Korea. The week they spend together in New York will bring up questions they've both been holding onto — about love, life, and destiny.

The film was met with rave reviews from both critics and the Brit + Co team, and remains one of the most beautiful contemporary films in recent years.

What else has Pedro Pascal been in?

While The Last of Us catapulted Pedro Pascal even MORE into mainstream media, he's starred in a variety of shows and movies over the last 20 years! He was in an episode of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and played the recurring role of Oberyn Martell in Game of Thrones. Pedro Pascal joined the Star Wars universe with The Mandalorian in 2019, and was also in my personal favorite movie of 2022, The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent.

In addition to Materialists, we'll see him in the MCU's Fantastic Four and Gladiator 2. Talk about a packed schedule! I'd like to get his agent to schedule my entire life because that's some insanely impressive time management skills.

What has Chris Evans been in?

You probably recognize Chris Evans the most as Steve Rogers/Captain America in Marvel Studios' superhero flicks, but he's also done a number of other movies, too (including the 2005 Fantastic Four, which is funny considering Pedro Pascal is in the new installment!). Chris Evans has some great range, and is in everything from the wacky Scott Pilgrim vs. the World to the action-packed Snowpiercer to the mysterious Knives Out with Ana de Armas.

If you're a fan of romantic dramas and haven't seen Before We Go (which is also Chris' directorial debut), I totally recommend it. I've seen Chris in so many action movies that I loved how much space there is for the characters to get to know each other!

Where can I watch Dakota Johnson?

I also wholeheartedly recommend The Peanut Butter Falcon, which was written and directed by Outer Banks native Tyler Nilson alongside Michael Schwartz. The film follows a young man with Down syndrome who escapes an assisted living facility and becomes fast friends with a fisherman on the run as a social worker (played by Dakota) tries to track them.

He also told Vogue in 2019 that he knew she was the one right after they met. "Keleigh had caught my eye early in the night, and we talked," he says. "I didn't think it went well, but after a few more attempts, I got her to dance with me, and a week later, we went on a date."

“He was so charming and charismatic,” Keleigh tells Vogue. “I adored him from the first moment we met.”

"So, we had our coffee break and she sees the flower [and] she thought someone had died. She thought it was an in memoriam kind of thing, and I’m just, like, staring.”

"I'll never get the image out of my head of him down on one knee with a tear in his eye," Keleigh told People. "He really thought about every detail and was so nervous!"

I thought this relationship couldn't get any more perfect, and then Miles and Keleigh Teller ended up getting married in Hawaii. The dreamy ceremony took place on Maui, and in addition to a beautiful Monique Lhuillier gown, Keleigh wore a necklace from her mom that all her sisters also wore when they got married. (Don't mind me, just brushing a tear from my eye!)

The costumes are beautiful, Blake Lively's direction is perfect, and the fact that Miles Teller and Keleigh Teller are in the video makes it even better!

On the heels of the Top Gun craze, Miles Teller hosted SNL during the fall, and Keleigh was just as excited as him!! "I adore you, thank you for making this week what it was @rebeccaannes @colinjost @fayedunaway etc. you make dreams come true," Keleigh wrote on Instagram the next day.

February 2, 2023 — Miles Teller and Keleigh Sperry Star In A Super Bowl Commercial

There aren't many Super Bowl commercials I can remember from the last few years, but the Bud Light ad with Miles Teller & wife Keleigh is one of my favorites! The ad really highlights how much fun this couple has as they dance around and have fun together. "There's a lot of improv," Miles tells People. "We did go to a rehearsal, just to be professional about it — but in the back of my head I was kind of figuring…I kind of knew the moves I wanted to do."

"It's really been an incredible year for both Keleigh and I, not just professionally but personally," he continues. "When Bud Light came and wanted us to be a part of a Super Bowl commercial, I mean, that's the top of the mountain as far as these things go. We always look forward to watching them."

I was over the moon when I realized I was at the same Eras Tour show as Keleigh and Miles Teller! The couple, along with Aaron Rodgers, attended two of Taylor Swift's three concerts at the MetLife arena in East Rutherford, New Jersey. They were a blast! "48 hours in ERAs heaven," Keleigh says on Instagram.
