21 Hot (Boozy) Drinks for Cold Nights

We’re all about the nice, refreshing cocktails, until the leaves start to fall and the air turns chilly. It’s just biology. Luckily, hot and boozy is our favorite combination come the colder months, so we’ve found a whole winter’s full of drinks to get you through your holiday parties, quiet nights at home and all those outdoor excursions. It’s definitely time to invest in a good thermos.

1. Vanilla Bean Hot Buttered Rum: If you’ve ever wondered what the Harry Potter butterbeer tastes like, we imagine it’s something like this. You don’t have to be a wizard to make it though. Just remember to keep it hot in a crockpot for your guests. (via Heart Beet Kitchen)

2. Cinnamon Roll Hot Chocolate: Cinnabon vodka. THIS EXISTS. (via The Blond Cook)

3. Black Cherry Bourbon Hot Chocolate: Goodness gracious, we almost feel like we could reach out and touch those glorious chocolate shavings. (via Living Better Together)

4. Maple Hot Toddies: We love toddies. We really do. We also really love this glassware. (via Front + Main)

5. Peppermint Infused Cocoa: This vodka is peppermint infused and so is the cocoa. You might say it’s a double-mint drink. Hardy-har. (via Fork vs. Spoon)

6. Easy Hot Toddy: This light and bright toddy is just the thing if you’re feeling sniffly. (via Brit + Co)

7. DIY Spiked Cocoa Bar: This is the best kind of DIY project. Stock your bar with toasted almonds, coconut, butterscotch chips, marshmallows and anything else you can dream up — oh, and booze like Irish creme, peppermint schnapps, coconut rum and more! (via Snippet + Ink)

8. Milky Salted Caramel: A caramel you can drink — Joy the Baker’s recipe is begging to be spiked. (via Joy the Baker)

9. Hot Buttered Rosemary + Fig Bourbon Cider: GIVE US TWELVE OF THESE RIGHT NOW. (via Front + Main)

10. Boozy Pumpkin White Hot Chocolate: This pumpkin drink is far from basic. (via Minimalist Baker)

11. Mulled Wine: Give us the glogg. A pot of mulled wine on the stove will make your house smell like a holiday-themed candle. (via The Foodie Collective)

12. Hot Buttered Hazelnut Bourbon: Ooh, this sounds like the richest, most delicious winter indulgence. Try it steamed up with lots of milk, Frangelico, and cinnamon. (via Adventure in Cooking)

13. Hot Apple Toddy With Garam Masala: Jealous we didn’t think of this first — this Indian food blogger nailed this monsoon season cocktail. (via Fun Food Frolic)

14. Chai Hot Toddy: Hot chocolate and traditional toddies get a lot of play during the holidays, but don’t sleep on chai. It’s spicy, sweet and can really liven up a party. (via Brit + Co)

15. White Glogg: The traditional Scandinavian mulled wine is made entirely modern with this white wine twist, featuring almonds and apples. (via Modern Wifestyle)
