The Only Recipe You Need for Marry Me Chicken

Ingredients

  • 2 large chicken breasts
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1/2 cup dry white wine or chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy / whipping cream
  • 1 tablespoon tomato paste
  • 1/3 cup sun-dried tomatoes
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
  • 1/3 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese
  • 1 small handful fresh basil, chopped

Instructions

Images via Salt & Lavender

  1. Cut the chicken breasts in half lengthwise to make four thinner pieces. Sprinkle them with the garlic powder and salt & pepper.
  2. Add the butter and olive oil to a skillet over medium-high heat. Let the pan heat up for a few minutes.
  3. Cook the chicken for about 5 to 6 minutes/side or until it's golden and cooked through (165 F). Transfer the chicken to a plate and loosely tent it with foil to keep it warm (turn the heat off while doing this step).
  4. Turn the heat back on to medium, and add the flour and garlic to the skillet (the pan should still be hot, but if it's not, let it warm up a bit first). Let it cook for about a minute or so, stirring often.
  5. Pour in the wine and whisk it until the flour has dissolved. Let it bubble until the liquid has reduced by half.
  6. Stir in the cream, tomato paste, sun-dried tomatoes, oregano, and crushed red pepper flakes, and then let it simmer for a few minutes until it's thickened to your desired consistency (turn the heat down if it's rapidly boiling).
  7. Take the skillet off the heat and stir in the parmesan and basil.
  8. Add the chicken back to the skillet (and any juices from the plate) and spoon some sauce over top. Season with extra salt & pepper as needed.

BBQ Chicken Foil Packs

Prep this camping meal ahead of time, and then throw these bad boys in the fire once you're on your camping trip. Two notes of caution: 1. Keep these in a cooler until you're ready to cook them, so the chicken doesn't spoil, and 2. Make sure to wear heat-proof gloves when taking these out of the campfire! (via Life In The Lofthouse)

Raspberry Dark Chocolate Chip Overnight Oats

Pretty much nothing could be simpler than prepping a jar overnight oats ahead of time and eating them for breakfast while you're camping. And by the way, feel free to use whatever fruit you'd like for your oats, from strawberries to blueberries and beyond. (via Annie's Noms)

Cajun-Style Grill Foil Packets

Hot Ham and Swiss Croissants

Sure, these are technically sandwiches, which is why they're so easy to make for a camping trip. But the twist is that you wrap them in foil and throw them on the heat, allowing the cheese to get all melty and gooey. Better than your average sammie, no? (via Life With The Crust Off)

Italian Sausage and Veggies Foil Pack

Camping Mac and Cheese

We've saved the best for (almost) last. The key to making this campfire mac and cheese recipe is to pre-cook the noodles before you leave home. Once you've done that, it's all downhill from there. Bonus: This is a one-pot recipe that uses barely any dishes, so cleanup time goes by a lot faster. (via Hapa Nom Nom)

Best Frito Chili Pie

If you've never had a Frito walking taco, it's time to fix that, like, right now. This recipe includes making your own chili, then filling the Frito bags, but you can also just stuff with store-bought ground beef, cheese, and salsa to make things even easier. (via A Spicy Perspective)

Grilled Halloumi Breakfast Sandwich

The halloumi on this meat-free sandwich promises all the heartiness and none of the greasiness of bacon or sausage. When fried for just a few minutes, it gets perfectly golden on the outside and remains toothsome throughout. Enjoy your camping breakfast with a pot of fresh campfire coffee! (via Fresh Off The Grid)

Mexican Tortilla Roll Ups

Ham and cheese is a tried-and-true pinwheel combo, but this camping recipe takes it to the next level with a mix of chiles, olives, onions, and garlic. They'll make for an excellent camping food and lunchbox addition, come the end of summer. (via Culinary Hill)

Foil Packet Nachos

You’ve tried them in the oven, you’ve tried them in the microwave at 2AM, and now it’s time to try them camp-style in a foil packet over a crackling fire. These nacho packs seal in a lot of heat, so everything melds to the chips, and the cheese melts perfectly. (via The Cookie Rookie)

Vegan S'mores

As it turns out, elevating classic s'mores is as simple as making some vegan swaps. If you're feeling extra adventurous, top your campfire dessert with a few potato chips! Their saltiness draws out even more sweetness from chocolate, and their crispiness is the perfect contrast with pillowy marshmallows. (via Fresh Off The Grid)

Foil Pack Garlic Fries

Fries can totally be a meal. We can attest that this recipe is as delicious as it sounds. Enjoy these well-seasoned spuds post-hike, and you’ll forever be a believer in the power of campfire potatoes. (via Kirbie's Cravings)

Cheesy Ranch Chicken Potato Foil Packets

Ranch dip seasoning really lets this mix of chicken, veggies, and cheese stand apart from the crowd. This dish is a delicious meal for your camping adventures, but it's also great during other times of the year — you can break out the recipe again once tailgate season rolls around! 2023 has been a rough year for celeb couples, to say the least. The past six months have been a lot of things, but a period of romance certainly wasn’t one of them. Here are all of the celeb relationships that ended and (truly) broke our hearts this year.

Billie Eilish and Jesse Rutherford (May)

The Grammy award winning singer and The Neighbourhood frontman ended their relationship less than one year after sparking romance rumors.

"We can confirm Billie and Jesse did split amicably and remain good friends," Eilish's rep told Us in May. "All cheating rumors are false. Both are currently single."

This pair of high school sweethearts have only been married for three years, but they've been together forever. The former couple share two children together — Ezer Billie White and Dolores Wild White. Page Six reported that Timlin filed for divorce on Thursday, noting that neither responded to comment on the separation.

Brandon Jones and Serene Russell (May)

ABC/Stewart Cook

The season 8 Bachelor in Paradise couple (who were seemingly meant to be) called it quits after less than one year together.

“After many months, today we have ultimately decided to end our engagement,” they wrote in a joint Instagram statement on May 8. “We have tried to work privately on our relationship which has been incredibly challenging in the public eye...We are deeply hurting and can only ask that there be no hate. The best path for us at this time is to try and move forward and heal from this as individuals,” they concluded the statement alongside photos and videos of happy moments from their relationship."

Cher and Alexander ‘AE’ Edwards (May)

The Mamma Mia! musical matriarch and the music executive split — a pairing which boasted a 40 year age gap — amicably split after six months of dating and lots of engagement rumors.

“AE and Cher were never engaged and that ring he got her was just a gift,” a source told Us at the time. “However, they had gotten very close and his son would even go over to Cher’s house in Malibu to play. Their relationship was real and they split a few weeks ago. There’s no bad blood between them and they’re on good terms.”

The Real Housewives of Atlanta alum filed for divorce from the retired athlete after 11 years of marriage and rumored bankruptcy. Reportedly, the Biermanns' home was seized by the bank due to insufficient payments, fueling the rumor mill even further. The relationship has been extremely dysfunctional since then, with Kim calling 911 just yesterday over an alleged kidnapping.

Taylor Swift and Joe Alwyn (April)

Joe and Taylor❤️ on Instagram: "The winning couple for album of the year at the grammys!!🥰🤩 I love them!❤️ #taylorswift #joealwyn #swifties"

We are *sobbing* over the end of our girl T. Swift’s six year relationship. Though the couple hasn’t gone public with the news, social media is buzzing with sources and evidence of the pair’s split.

The Top Gun: Maverick star and the model split in April after three years of dating and raging cheating allegations. We can't help but think that Sydney Sweeney may have something to do with this...

The City Girls member told The Cut in April that the twosome “had our own situation” for a period of time, but are no longer romantically involved.

“We’re still friends! We’re still good friends! But we’re single. That’s not my man,” the rapper said. “We were f–king with each other hard. We were together every day at one point. He supported me, I supported him. I’ll let the internet call it whatever they want to call it.”

Halsey and Alev Aydin (April)

The "Walls Could Talk" singer filed for full custody of their son Ender after ending her relationship with Aydin earlier this year.

The Bachelor Nation couple called it quits months after rekindling their romance in late 2022.

You know we HAD to include this messy breakup. Madix broke up with her Vanderpump Rulesco-stars after nearly a decade together, following the reveal of an explosive affair between Sandoval and fellow co-star Raquel Leviss. Oh and BTW – we’re totally #TeamAriana.

The actress and media mogul has called it quits with her now ex-hubby of 12 years. Though the split seems amicable, as per their joint social media posts, we’re still in mourning.

Sophia Culpo and Braxton Berrios (March)

The TLC star confirmed her split from the NFL player after two years together. "I have a new apartment that I'm moving into," Culpo explained in a TikTok video. "I just have to go back to New Jersey and get all of my stuff, which I've been kind of avoiding just because moving out of a long-term relationship where you guys, like, lived together — that's really hard."

Leonardo DiCaprio and Gigi Hadid (February)

Andreas Rentz/Getty Images

The rumored couple officially confirmed their relationship status on February 20 – and that status is no longer together. The Oscar winner (who's notorious for dating young women) and the supermodel called it quits after several months of seeing each other.

"They both have incredibly busy careers and lives, and although they tried to make time for each other, it really wasn’t enough to make things work," an insider explained. "Gigi has no hard feelings towards Leo and she thinks he’s an incredible guy. Their timing just couldn’t align, and they’ve decided to go their separate ways."

Avril Lavigne and Mod Sun (February)

Emma McIntyre/Getty Images for The Recording Academy

“Avril and Mod Sun have been on and off for the past two months, but are no longer together as a couple,” an insider shared about the couple of two years.

Kylie Jenner and Travis Scott (January)

Frazer Harrison/Getty Images

The notoriously on-again, off-again couple are off once again. The scorned rapper and Lip Kit pioneer share two children, daughter Stormi and a son Aire, and remain strong coparents.

We’ve been heartbroken one too many times, so we’re requesting every celeb power couple to stay in love while our hearts heal.

When Miley Cyrus debuted "Flowers," it felt like the ultimate empowering song of the year. Lyrics like "Yeah, I can love me better than you can" make it clear she's leaving her past love behind and embracing her relationship with herself. While we know paradise didn't last for the former couple, adding to a long list of celebrity breakups, some people were convinced their divorce was the result of Liam's alleged fling with none other than actress Jennifer LawrenceGASP! However, after years of speculation, JLaw is finally sharing her side of the story.

Why were Miley's fans convinced Liam had a fling with Jennifer Lawrence?

When Jennifer appeared on an episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen in 2015, she shared that she and Liam had an off-screen kiss while filming one of the Hunger Games movies. This led fans to develop theories that this happened while Liam and Miley were still together.

Once Miley released the music video for "Flowers," fans believed the stunning gold dress Miley wore towards the beginning was her way of hinting at the alleged fling. Jennifer *did* wear a gold dress to the premiere of Hunger Games in 2012, so we can see how fans would make this connection.

What does Jennifer have to say about the Liam Hemsworth rumors?

But per E! News, Jennifer appeared on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen yesterday to answer Andy's burning question about whether "Flowers" was referencing the alleged fling. She told him, "Not true, total rumor." But, she did mention the kiss again. In her own words, she said, "We all know Liam and I, like, kissed one time. It was years after they broke up. So I just assume [the music video] was a coincidence."

Did Liam and Miley ever address cheating allegations?

While Liam has kept quiet about the rumors, Miley was a little more vocal about allegations that she cheated. She didn't dive into too many details, but wrote a statement via Twitterin 2019 that said, "I can admit to a lot of things but I refuse to admit that my marriage ended because of cheating."

Rumors can be juicy — we'd be lying if we said we didn't like reading about them — but this doesn't always mean they're true. Only Miley, Liam, and Jennifer knows what truly happened (if anything happened at all), and that's what ultimately matters.

What do you think about Jennifer dispelling the rumors? Let us know in the comments!
