It’s The Jonas Brothers' World, And We’re Just Living In It

the jonas brothers new music and performances

Is it just me, or have the Jonas Brothers taken over your FYP, too? The brothers had a hold on my nostalgic heart from the moment I first heard their hit song "Year 3000" (which by the way, was actually a cover from British band called Busted), and they haven’t lost it since. The iconic trio got back together in 2019, so the Gen Z world gets to fall in love with the JoBros and all their antics alongside the rest of us. The Jonas Brothers’ next album, The Album, officially releases on May 12, and we can officially confirm that their PR team is working over time.

While Taylor Swift is killing it (per usual) on the Eras Tour, the Jonas Brothers are seemingly creating their own era...online. I’ve seen the boys on pretty much every influencers page (some of whom I just recently learned about), along with special performances at the most unlikely locations.

6 hours in vegas with my favorite plus ones :) my brother and his gf 💛✨ shook all the brothers hands and i’ll never be the same 🫠

Back in February, the Jonas Brothers gifted influencers round trip flights to their Vegas show at Dolby Live. TikTok’s favorite and most adorable couple, Bru and Anna, made an exciting appearance and celebrated with a fun vlog.

idk who that was fr idk!!!!! .. anyways stream Waffle House by the @jonasbrothers #fyp

The most recent internet spotting has been in Drew Afualo’s video, aka the Queen of calling out misogynistic men on TikTok, when she claimed she was responsible for a billion streams of their latest hit, "Waffle House."

Rocking on at the waffle house baby 🤘 #jonasbrothers

Then the Jo Bros made it onto Max Balegde’s account, with the trio singing the chorus to "Waffle House" in the best way possible.

OH MY JONAS!!! @lewiscapaldi @jonasbrothers @joejonas @nickjonas @kevinjonas

It doesn’t just stop at influencer trips though, as the Jonas Brothers were invited on stage to sing at Lewis Capaldi’s show at Radio City Music Hall in New York earlier this month. They sang "Lovebug," and to be honest…we haven’t been the same since that song was released in 2008. True Jonas Brothers fans know the pure fireworks *that* guitar solo brings.

“Let’s go!”

In between social media guest spots and surprise stage appearances, the band also underwent a residency on Broadway for five nights, will be performing at Yankee Stadium in August, and just announced that they will be making an appearance on Good Morning America during the first NFL draft. We’re just surprised that the Jonas Brothers aren’t saying SOS by now and heading to bed for a long and well-deserved nap. Keep the album promo content coming, boys!

Things are heating up betweenSelena Gomez and Benny Blanco since late last year to the surprise of some, but it seems like the couple's romance is just getting started. They're not shy about PDA and posting each other on social media and pretty much telling anyone who doesn't like it to get lost. We love how fiercely supportive they are of each other, giving us so many good green flags! Here's everything we know about the lovely new couple so far.

Selena Gomez And Benny Blanco's Relationship Timeline:

March 2019

Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco first collaborated on the song "I Can't Get Enough" along with Tainy and J. Balvin in 2019. Though they were featured in a cute scene together, there weren't any rumors about them being romantically linked then.

August 2023

They didn't work together again until late summer 2023 when he produced Selena's single "Single Soon" with Cashmere Cat.

December 2023

Before 2023 ended, Selena started leaving comments on Instagram that suggested she and Benny Blanco were in fact together. One of the comments she left appear on this Instagram fan page and it reads, "He is my absolute everything in my heart."

Some fans weren't so thrilled to see the two together though and they weren't afraid to express their opinions. But, this only prompted Selena to leave more comments that defended her relationship with Benny.

People grabbed a screenshot of one of the comments Selena responded that revealed the couple had been together for a while. "Not mad. It’s been 6 months bb. I will always defend my friends, family and fans till the day I die," she wrote. They even shared another screenshot from Selena's Instagram Story that showed her wearing a "B" ring on one of her fingers.

December 15, 2023

Soon after that, Selena shared a photo carousel on Instagram that included some of her favorite moments in New York and Benny Blanco can be seen in BTS moments. The last picture of the carousel features them sharing a kiss in a black and white photo that basically confirms the responses the singer had for fans.

December 28, 2023

Before the new year began, Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco spent some time at a cute art exhibit during a date. From the looks of things, it seemed like they discovered their love language of physical touch early on.

January 2, 2024

Feeling the love of being with Selena, Benny Blanco took to Instagram Stories to officially signal that the two are dating. People grabbed a few more screenshots that Benny shared and all we can see is the happy glint that was in Selena's eyes.

January 3, 2024

The next day the couple were seen court side at one of the Los Angeles Lakers' game. Once again, their love language was on full display in the most intimate way. A source revealed to People that they understood why people had so many opinions about Selena's relationship with Benny. "Everyone was a fan of hers before Only Murders [in the Building], and now everyone is protective of her."

January 15, 2024

Later that month, Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco showed up to the Emmy Awards together. They were sitting side-by-side and weren't afraid to show affection with each other.

March 2024

When Benny Blanco's birthday rolled around, Selena Gomez shared a sweet message to him on Instagram. She wrote, "Happy birthday baby! Your emotional endurance, positive disposition, unbelievable talent (that blows me away), undeniable humor and loving, kind heart absolutely kill me. I love you @itsbennyblanco 🎂🥹."

April 2024

Although we're only four months into the new year, Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco's relationship is still going strong! The Only Murders in the Building star has been seen smiling in every pic she posts which indicates she's genuinely happy in her relationship. A source hinted to People that the two are doing well. "It’s a very serious relationship, and they’re making long distance work while she’s in New York for work commitments," they said.

April 25, 2024

In an interview with WSJ, Benny Blanco gave his POV of how his relationship with Selena Gomez began and it was the cutest revelation. "It’s crazy how your partner could just be sitting there the whole time, right in front of your eyes...And then you have a Clueless moment where you're like, Wait, I'm in love," he says.

A man who compares his relationship to that moment in Clueless where Cher and Josh admit their feelings for each other gets brownie points from us!

May 15, 2024

It looks like Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco's relationship may be ready for the next step — that's if you ask Mr. Blanco. He appeared on The Howard Stern Show yesterday to chat about everything, including his relationship with Selena. When Howard Stern asked, "You want to have kids with Selena? Have you told her you want to have kids yet," Benny replied, "That’s my next goal, to check the box. I have a ton of godkids. I've got a ton of nephews. I love being around kids."

However, he's not in a rush and wants everything to happen naturally. All that matters is that the two of them are in each other's life. He said, "I just know that when I look at her, I just say, ‘I don’t know a world where it could be better than this.’ That’s what I always say to her.”

If you’re the kind of person that hurries through dinner to quickly scurry to the dessert portion, enjoys homemade baking, or has a sweet tooth for the finer treats in life, then this one’s for you. The beauty of desserts is that there is so much room for variety and creativity in flavoring — from a classic vanilla cupcake to an indulgent, hard-to-perfect Boston creme pie.

Despite the large range of options, it can be easy to stick with what you like, run out of ideas, and become bored with your go-to dessert recipes. That’s why we put together a list of the most decadent desserts to make on a random Tuesday night or bring to your next dinner party. Here are 19 of our sweetest picks!

Strawberry Rhubarb Upside-Down Cake

Strawberry lovers are going to be all over this dessert. The strawberry rhubarb upside-down cake lets the fruit shine and is drizzled with a caramelized topping. (via Completely Delicious)

Chocolate Bourbon Chai Latte Cupcakes with Butter Pecan Frosting

How can you take your cupcakes to the next level? Bourbon. Chai spice. And brown sugar pecans. These chocolate bourbon chai latte cupcakes with butter pecan frosting are a fun alternative to pecan pie and add a little spice kick to your dessert. (via Half Baked Harvest).

Brown Butter Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies

The recipe name alone, brown butter oatmeal chocolate chip cookies, is enough to get us on board. Sprinkle some sea salt on top to achieve that salty and sweet combination! (via Half Baked Harvest).

Dulce De Leche Cheesecake

When in doubt, add caramel to your favorite baked goods. A dulce de leche cheesecake offers a sweeter take on the classic cheesecake, due to the canned dulce de leche (aka caramelized milk). Graham crackers or crumbs will work for this one! (via Women Scribbles)

Lemon Raspberry Cookies

For the citrus dessert lovers out there, you’ll have to add these lemon raspberry cookies to your baking list. The ingredients call for all the stops in lemon flavoring: lemon zest, lemon extract, and an additional sweet lemon glaze. (via Two Peas & Their Pod)

Gluten-Free Chocolate Cupcakes With Chocolate Ganache

Being gluten-free doesn’t mean you need to give up decadent chocolate desserts. The gluten-free chocolate cupcakes with chocolate ganache consist of dark chocolate, chocolate chips, and unsweetened cocoa powder (no flour!) making it naturally gluten-free and delicious. (via The Bossy Kitchen)

Brown Butter Banana Bread

Stray from the original banana bread to this brown butter banana bread that can be made in an hour. Brown butter adds a nutty flavoring that presents a deeper taste than regular melted butter! (via The Endless Meal)

Key Lime Donuts

This key lime donut recipe lends a twist to the traditional glazed donut. You’ll need the juice and the zest of key limes to really make that flavor shine. Don’t get discouraged if you don’t have a donut cutter, you can use pantry items like a canned goods jar to get that circle shape! (via Cozy Cravings)

Salted Caramel Brownies

Upgrade basic brownies with some much-needed salted caramel. This salted caramel brownie recipe boasts a rich dark chocolate with pools of salted caramel throughout. It’s as indulgent as you can get in two hours! (via Butternut Bakery)

Perfect Vanilla Cupcakes

You can’t go wrong with a traditional, homemade vanilla cupcake. These perfect vanilla cupcakes went through some serious rounds of testing and are inspired by the nostalgic box cake mix you see on grocery store shelves. The vanilla bean buttercream is mouth-watering! (via Butternut Bakery)

Lemon Bars

During the spring and summer months, you’ll find yourself gravitating towards these lemon bars. You can bake them in under an hour, with the shortbread base only containing three ingredients: butter, flour, and sugar. (via Vikalinka)

Snickerdoodle Mini Muffins

No, muffins aren’t just for breakfast. They’re for snacks, desserts — and this snickerdoodle mini muffin recipe is for your cinnamon and sugar cravings. They are a bite-sized reminder of the classic snickerdoodle cookie! (via Averie Cooks)

Honey Soaked Almond Cake

The secret to this honey soaked almond cake is super-fine almond flour, lending a top-notch texture for the perfect baked good. The simple honey topping is what takes this cake to the next level. (via The Original Dish)

Blueberry Lavender Ice Cream with Hazelnut

What says decadent dessert more than ice cream? This blueberry lavender ice cream with hazelnut recipe elevates from the usual chocolate or vanilla flavorings, and is completely refreshing. Topping it with a hazelnut crumble is optional! (via The Original Dish)

Mini Peach Rhubarb Cobblers

If you’re looking for guests (or yourself!) to grab and go, these personalized mini peach rhubarb cobbers are the ideal treat — especially in the summer. Make sure to pick out the juiciest of peaches for the best results. (via Whole and Heavenly Oven)

Chocoflan Impossible Cake

This chocoflan impossible cake is a fun take on a Mexican delicacy: vanilla flan. It’s dense, rich, and the ideal treat for chocolate lovers. Snag your go-to bundt pan and cajeta (essentially homemade goat’s milk caramel) from the Mexican food section of your grocery store. (via A Spicy Perspective)

One Hour Cinnamon Rolls

Nothing says baking like a homemade cinnamon roll. Skip the hassle of overnight dough rising with these one-hour cinnamon rolls. Trust us, the pastry is not just for breakfast, you can make them for dessert too! (via Amanda Wilens)

This post has been updated.

It goes without saying that no salad should cost more than anyone’s hourly wage, but that seems to be where we’re at with things.

Inflation continues to inflate, and I feel the pressure of it every single day. From rent prices (yikes!) to the weekly grocery bill (even bigger yikes!), nearly everyone is tuned into the absurdity of how expensive it is to simply get by.

Consumers are not immune to the crushing financial weight of merely existing and are increasingly hesitant to spend their money liberally, especially atfast food joints. Perhaps this is why many popular chains are promoting deals that allegedly get you more bang for your buck.

Image via Chili's

For example, Chili’s just started targeting fast food lovers by introducing the Big Smasher Burger as part of their 3 For Me menu which includes the sandwich, fries, bottomless chips and salsa, and a bottomless drink for a grand total of $10.99. Their main selling point for the Big Smasher? It has twice the amount of beef as a Big Mac.

Image via Starbucks

Starbucks is also flexing savings on menu items. They’ve significantly increased their rewards cadence over the past months, now offering 50% off drinks every Friday in May. Their US sector saw a 7% decline in traffic in 2024’s second quarter.

Image via McDonald's

Given the expensiveness of it all, it’s no surprise that McDonald’s has plans to step up their affordability game. According to Fox Business, the chain’s been working on their ‘Best Burger’ initiative to bring a “larger satiating burger" to customers for similar prices as what’s already on the menu.

In the same vein, McDonald’s is also reportedly interested in offering a $5 meal deal that could include a McChicken, a McDouble or four-piece chicken nuggets, fries, and a drink. It’s unclear as to when they’d roll it out (or if they actually will), but it’s clear they have their eyes on distant, once-regular customers.

Photo by Marco Fischer / PEXELS

This is appreciated and all, but do we really owe these fast food companies a ‘thank you’? A report from Groundwork Collaborative found that corporate profits accounted for about 53% of inflation in Q1 and Q2 of 2023, compared to 11% of inflation in the 40 years prior to the pandemic. So while prices skyrocket for consumers like you and me, corporations are earning more and more even though production costs for them have “substantially” decreased.

Photo by Ab Kazaam / PEXELS

I get it – completely eliminating dining out is near impossible. I’m not saying that scooping up a little *discounted* treat – or even a regularly-priced meal – every once in a while is a bad thing. It’s just important to remember that these fast food companies aren’t necessarily looking out for you, but instead, their profits.

As you look for ways to economize on fast food and otherwise, take advantage of the many ways you can actually save money. Coupons, birthday freebies, happy hours, and restaurant surveys are just a few methods to navigate the madness. As a certified Dunkin’ girl, you'll still catch me grabbing a bite to eat around town. I'm just hoping we can all catch a break.

The latest installment of the Pretty Little Liars franchise finds our Liars in "a fate worse than death: summer school." Jokes aside, these BFFs need to watch each other's backs to make sure they make it out of the summer alive.

Pretty Little Liars: Summer School hits Max this year and will star Bailee Madison, Chandler Kinney, Zaria, Malia Pyles, Maia Reficco, Mallory Bechtel, Alex Aiono, Jordan Gonzalez, and Elias Kacavas.

Which new TV show are you excited to watch in 2024? I cannot wait for Bridgerton season 3! Make sure to follow us on TikTok and Facebook for more TV exclusives.
