Zendaya’s Challengers Is The Sexiest Movie Of The Year

challengers movie review 2024

The first few trailers for Zendaya's Challengers hooked me with the promise of a steamy love triangle and plenty of drama on and off the tennis court. I can now confidently say this is one of the best movies of the year — if not Zendaya's entire career. The film (which just nabbed a 100 percent Rotten Tomatoes score) explores love and passion in a totally different way than I expected. And while it engages your senses, more than anything, it makes you feel.

"Challengers" Is A Fully Emotional Experience

Image via Amazon MGM Studios

Challengers (directed by Luca Guadagnino) is a full experience thanks to the visuals, sound design, and score. The first 10 minutes alone will make you want to re-enter your tennis era, and the vibrant feel of Challengers makes everything from a American college campus to a backyard feel like the Italian coast.

This backyard is where we see Mike Faist's Art, Josh O'Connor's Patrick, and Zendaya's Tashi truly mesh for the first time. Both Art and Patrick want Tashi's number, but while she's curious, she's not so sure she should offer it up. They spend time talking about tennis and college, and later that night, Tashi promises her number to the one that wins their match, rather than the one that catches her eye or moves her. It's a telling choice that has major ramifications later on in the story. Tashi just wants to watch drama unfold, especially if it makes the boys' tennis more emotional (she, as the kids say, loves mess).

Image via Amazon MGM Studios

From this point on, Tashi, Patrick, and Art move as a unit, even when their relationships end. Tashi's at the helm, and while she's definitely the mastermind, she's more like their North Star than a leader giving them direct orders. Patrick and Art follow her light over the course of the next 13 years, to a Challengers tournament that pits the estranged friends against each other.

It's very clear what both men think about her, and the smallest details reinforce they are in love. (For instance, at one of Tashi's early matches, their eyes linger on her even after she's hit the ball, while she barely moves a muscle to keep up with their match later in the movie).

"Challengers" Is More About The Characters Than Tennis

Image via Amazon MGM Studios

Even though all three leads are fully-formed, individual characters (with wildly different personalities, might I add), they switch places at any given point in the story to fill each other's emotional shoes. One moment, Art is hopeful, Tashi is calculated, and Patrick is driven. The next Tashi is entirely focused on tennis, Art is willing to bend the rules of right and wrong to get what he wants, and Patrick is left in their wake. You can never truly root for one person before the tables are turned, but despite it all, the tension between them always leaves you wanting more.

Image via Amazon MGM Studios

While the movie has a number of tennis matches (which means an endless amount of tennis grunts), the most impactful moments for me are the quiet ones. We know Art and Patrick are in love with Tashi, but we're never quite sure what Tashi thinks about herself.

The Spider-Man actress brings a nuance to the character we haven't seen from her before, and there's a cautious tenderness to the moments where Tashi's back is facing another character, or where she's standing alone. You can almost see the gears turning in her head. "Almost" is the most important word because Challengers is full of "almosts": Tashi almost apologizes, Art almost chooses himself over everyone.

Image via Amazon MGM Studios

Challengers is full of open-ended emotions that serve as an exploration of human nature in all its complicated, manipulative, dreamy glory. It's a movie about passion and love and desire — and it's one that leaves you wondering who, or what, the object of that desire is.

Few books have made an impact on BookTok like Colleen Hoover's It Ends With Us. The story follows a woman named Lily who is intrigued by a new relationship with Ryle, but an encounter with her first love Atlas — and the reminders of her past that Atlas carries — complicates everything. This movie based on a bookwill be one to remember.

We had high hopes for this summer movie, and when it was announced that Justin Baldoni would develop the film in 2019, we knew the story was in good hands. Baldoni won us over with his role as Rafael in Jane The Virgin, and his feature directorial debut Five Feet Apart made us cry our eyes out. If you're a Colleen Hoover fan, keep reading for everything you need to know about It Ends With Us. Check out the rest of this year's 2024 movies too!

IT ENDS WITH US - Official Trailer (HD)

The way I IMMEDIATELY slapped my hand over my mouth at the first notes of "My Tears Ricochet" from Taylor Swift's Folklore. What a song choice! This is the one trailer we have been waiting for all year, and it totally captures the emotion, heart, and drama of the book.

When is the It Ends With Us movie coming out?

Image via Sony Pictures Releasing

It Ends With Us will hit theaters August 9, 2024. With so much color, plus the fact Blake Lively's Lily runs a flower shop, a summer release is perfect! Because of the writers' strike and actors' strike, production on the film paused over the summer of 2023, meaning the movie got delayed from its original February 9 (then June 21) release date.

Who plays Lily in the It Ends With Us cast?

Image via Sony Pictures Releasing

Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni (who's also directing) are set to star in the film as Lily and Ryle, respectively. On April 20, 2023, it was announced that 1923 star Brandon Sklenar would join the duo as Atlas, and on May 1, Jenny Slate joined the cast as Ryle's sister Allysa. Hasan Minhaj joined the film on May 25 as Alyssa's husband Marshall.

Baldoni also posted a TikTok confirming that after an open casting call, they've found young Lily! Thanks to IMDb and some on-set TikToks, it looks like we'll be seeing Isabela Ferrer starring as the younger version of Blake Lively's character.

Fans were initially unhappy with Blake's casting, because in the book, Lily is supposed to be in her early 20s. But author Colleen Hoover explained a bit of the intention behind the casting with the TODAY Show, explaining that the "new adult" genre at the time favored characters in their early 20s — and that the point of the book is its message, not its cast or costumes.

“As an author, we make mistakes,” she says. “There’s no 28-year-old neurosurgeons, you know? You go to school for 15 years. And so to make corrections to what I messed up in the book, we aged the characters up somewhat...I love that there’s discourse surrounding it, I do. I think that people are going to be very pleased. I’m very pleased.”

What is It Ends With Us about?

It Ends With Us follows Lily Bloom after she moves out of her small town to start a flower shop in Boston. When she meets Ryle on a rooftop and quickly falls head over heels, it seems like fate. That is, until she comes face-to-face with her first love Atlas. It's a story of strength, deep-rooted relationships, and identity that made waves on social media.

Where was It Ends With Us filmed?

Image via Sony Pictures Releasing

It Ends With Us has been filming in New Jersey. The first set images from It Ends With Us are from a scene that takes place between Lily and Ryle. While Baldoni is wearing a simple black sweater, Lively is wearing two different shades of pink over a brown dress. I love the way costumes highlight all the ways characters are different, and this is the perfect example!

On January 6, 2024, Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni were finally spotted in Jersey City again. While the costumes have gotten some backlash, I really love the texture and visual interest in this patchwork jacket + jeans combo! It feels creative and bright — just like Lily :).

And on April 30 we FINALLY got the first official images from the movie and everything looks incredible! The colors are just as bright and yet still have some emotional weight behind them to match the story. I'm particularly obsessed with this Blake Lively outfit — I'm a sucker for a jeans + tank + cardigan combo.

What scenes have the cast filmed?

Image via Sony Pictures Releasing

On January 15, 2024, a video of Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni filming another It Ends With Us movie scene went viral on TikTok, and users are convinced they know which scene we're seeing in the video. Blake and Justin are walking around outside of a restaurant, which leads fans to believe this is Lily and Ryle's confrontation after they see Atlas in his restaurant for the first time.

Is Colleen Hoover making a movie out of It Ends With Us?

Image via Sony Pictures Releasing

Yes, we're getting a movie adaptation of It Ends With Us! Filming began in New Jersey the first week of May 2022 and is expected to wrap in early 2024. But after a recent leak from the movie set, one question that's top of mind is whether we're actually getting two movies. The scene, which features Blake Lively's Lily pushing a baby in a swing, doesn't take place in the original novel and fans are wondering whether the film will also use elements from It Starts With Us, the 2023 sequel Colleen Hover published.

"It Ends With Us doesn't have this scene," one TikToker wrote in the comments. "This is definitely It Starts With Us," another added. Now that there are two books, it's totally plausible that they've added elements to the end of the film that set up a sequel movie — and we are totally here for it!

Who else is working on the film?

Image via Sony Pictures Releasing

According to Deadline, Lively, Baldoni, Hoover, Steve Sarowitz, and Andrew Calof are all serving as executive producers, while Alex Saks, Christy Hall, and Jamey Heath are producing. Hall is also penning the script for the film.

Follow us on TikTok and Twitter for the latest entertainment updates, and check back here for new info on It Ends With Us! Feel free to rewatch all of Blake Lively's movies too ;).

We love to celebrate and support all different types of fabulous AAPI founders, and one way to do so is by shopping their incredible products! I know I'm not alone when I say I love coming across new brands, especially if they're BIPOC or women-owned. And while I'm sure you don't think you need a cute new slip dress or hand-poured candle, I'm confident you'll find something to snag from one of the below AAPI brands!

AAPI Fashion & Beauty Finds To Shop

Ming Wang Knits Midi Slip Dress

This cute slip dress is full of summer colors like flamenco and pale marigold that make it impossible to look away from. The pleated detail adds depth and dimension to the dress while the smart color blocking style gives it a versatile appeal. Have a cute summer soiree or daytime wedding to attend? This dress has your name on it.

Misook Midi Fit & Flare Dress

Black dresses will always be trendy because of their chic factor. Misook's fit and flare dress has a button-front design that has exposed stitching on the front, but don't let that deter you. If anything, that's what helps this dress stand out from the crowd.

The other thing that I absolutely adore about it is that it features hidden side pockets. They may not be needed, but they're certainly welcomed here!

If you want to look like the ultimate "it girl" this summer, add this midi dress to your shopping cart ASAP!

Pistola Denim Aria Jumpsuit

If you're not sure if you want to wear denim dresses this summer, give jumpsuits a chance! They're the epitome of cool and make you look stylish with minimal effort.

Pistola Denim designed their retro denim jumpsuit to have comfortable stretch (so important) so you can move around without feeling like you're being restricted by the fabric. Whether you want to pair it with cowboy boots or a cute pair of heels is up to you!

Maile Kitty Heel in Black Canvas

Since we're on the subject of how the color black makes things look good, Maile's black canvas heels have stolen the heart of the fashionista that lives in a portion of my mind. They're the epitome of 90s style and will look good with Misook's midi black dress.

Since the heel height is under 4 inches, you'll feel comfortable sauntering from place to place.

Behno Tina Baguette Mini Pebbled Ruched (Buttercream)

Butter yellow is the color of the summer and Behno's tiny baguette basically confirms it. The exterior is designed with supple leather and it comes with a chain crossbody strap in case you get tired of holding it in your hand.

I happen to love that it comes in a dust bag to signal the luxurious quality of it. Although it's a mini bag, your cellphone, wallet, keys, a pair of sunglasses, and lip oils can fit inside without an issue!

Ming Yu Wang Orbita Earrings

There are a ton of earrings on the market, but this pair stands out with their orbital design. They're rhodium plated and recycled with cute multicolored resin objects that line the inside of them. Haven't you heard? Tenniscore is in and we have the Challengers film to thank for that. I love that this necklace has featured on the TODAY show according to BONBONWHIMS' site and is 18K sterling silver-plated.

Those of us with sensitive skin know that we have to be careful when we wear certain jewelery because certain things trigger allergic reactions, but BONBONWHIMS isn't hearing any of that with this hypoallergenic necklace.

It's also available in different colors should you find that you're not a fan of the deep red color.

AMYO Tiny Starburst Earrings

These 14K earrings are a perfect buy during AAPI Month due to their dainty design. Featuring cubic zirconia stones in the center of the dangly shapes, you won't lose the back of your earrings because they also have a click close design that makes putting and taking them off super easy.

Notte Amore Mio Charm Necklace

I can safely wear statement necklaces again now that my son is almost four so I'm proud to say Notte's Amore Mio charm necklace is a bias pick.It has a thick gold-plated moon-cut chain and several charms that will make any outfit you wear feel stylish.

You can also customize one of the charms to feature your Zodiac sign and it's a handmade necklace.

ONE/SIZE On 'Til Dawn Mattifying Waterproof Setting Spray

If there's one person whose makeup judgement I trust, it's Patrick Starrr. Known for creating memorable makeup looks on YouTube, Starrr founded ONE/SIZE as a way to celebrate underrepresented cultures and voices.

This is just one of the standout products that I not only stand by, but it even has Beyoncé's stamp of approval! Besides being waterproof, it offers up to 16 hours of protection from the elements.

Seriously, you need this setting spray if you're looking for something that'll keep your makeup intact without irritating your skin.

Avatara The Simple Shield Balancing Moisturizer + SPF 30

Need a balancing moisturizer that also protects your skin from the sun? Avatara wants to introduce you to The Simple Shield!

Made with SPF 30, you'll also find things like hyaluronic acid and ceramides inside. While one works to add moisture to your skin, the other locks it in place. In Avatara's words, think of this like a "skin-balancing Kombucha."

No wonder it's one of their bestselling products!

Apothékary Glow Getter Starter Set

Sometimes we all deal with dullness regardless of our skin type, but Apothékary has a solution that all but banishes that: their Glow Getter Starter Set. It's full of collagen-boosting and skin-restoring goodies that are meant to have lasting effects on the skin. Included in the set are:

  • Firm Believer: a collagen-boosting herbal formula that helps produce glowing skin
  • You Dew You: a skin-restoring formula that's antioxidant-rich and soothes skin inflammation

Vitamin C has been a game changer for my skin so I always look for products that include it like DAMDAM's Skin Mud Pure Vitamin C Brightening Mask. If you have oily or combination skin like me, you'll love that it helps minimize pores, tackle any elasticity issues you're facing, and help balance your skin's natural oils.

While I could rave about Vitamin C all day, this mask also has kaolin clay in it and is certified as being plant aware at Sephora!

It's a nice blend of stone-ground, hand-picked matcha and antioxidant-rich moringa that'll make you want to stand on your balcony or patio in the morning while sipping it. It's also balanced with L-theanine which is why you won't experience the usual side effects of drinking coffee.

Tired of relying on the same rotation of seasonings and flavorings when cooking? Well, it's time to introduce your kitchen to Potluck's combo set of Gochujang and Ssamjang! They're sweet and spicy Korean pastes that'll help you create an excellent marinade to use on whatever light lunchmeal you're eating.

Fly By Jing Sichuan Chili Crisp

If you're not familiar with Fly By Jing yet, now really is the time to find your new fave sauce! Founded by Jing Gao, she sought to reclaim her original name — instead of going by Jenny like she had for years — and introduce the flavors of her hometown (Chengdu) to others. This viral condiment comes in six different flavors, with the Sichuan Chili Crisp being the most popular. The other options you have are:

Muu Wearable Breast Pumps

Since Mother's Day should be everyday IMO, it wouldn't be right if I didn't include something for breastfeeding mamas. Founded by first-generation Korean-American Janice Gott, Muu is an affordable, mom-designed wearable breast pump that makes pumping easier. Although wireless breast pumps have become popular, this is another option if you're worried about whether you've charged it enough when you're on the go.

That's where rising AAPI product designer Tiffany Tao steps in. She specifically designed Muu to be hands and fuss-free so you can pump whenever you need to.

Have a board meeting to attend that coincides with your pumping schedule? Muu will be right there. Out with your friends and realize you're overdo for a pumping session? Muu will be in your purse ready to spring into action when you're in need.

In a shocking turn of event, Only Murders in the Building season 4 won't be in Mabel, Charles, and Oliver's building — it won't even be in New York! Hulu's confirmed that the fourth season will take place (at least partly) in LA. Does this mean we'll get a scene of Steve Martin and Martin Short tanning at the beach?

The Office is coming to Peacock soon.

Tell Me Lies Season 2 — Coming Soon To Hulu

Image via Josh Stringer/Hulu

Tell Me Lies season 2 is coming to Hulu soon and stars Grace Van Patten, Jackson White, Thomas Doherty, Tom Ellis, Branden Cook, Spencer House, Sonia Mena, and Catherine Missal.

Big Little Lies Season 3 — Coming Soon To Max

Image via HBO

While we don't know much about the third season of the hit Reese Witherspoon series, we do know that the show will have a major tone shift for one very simple reason: the Monterey Five are dealing with teens now! "These children [on the show] are not children anymore. They’re teenagers now!" Shailene Woodley tells Bazaar. "Their voices have dropped, they all have their teenage situation happening, and the angst is kicking in, and that, to me, is what is exciting about the possibility of a third season. What does life look like for those people who are not children anymore?" I can't wait to find out!

Big Little Lies season 3 is coming to Max soon and we're hoping to see Reese Witherspoon, Nicole Kidman, and Zoë Kravitz, Shailene Woodley, Laura Dern, Kathryn Newton, Meryl Streep, and Adam Scott all return.

The Seven Days in June TV show news is still pretty fresh, so we don't have much on the cast or release date (although I'm fairly confident we'll see it by the end of 2025). Lonely Boy — er, I mean Joe Goldberg — was seen filming around New York City starting March 2024, and while there are a few things we do know (like he's returning to Mooney's Bookstore), I'm more concerned with what we DON'T know. "You're considering what, or should I say who, Joe will come up against as he finally returns to New York," Penn Badgley says in the official teaser. "Though I can't say who just yet, we all know there are many loose ends from Joe's past."

This post has been updated.

Welcome to your June horoscope for 2024! Can you believe it's been nearly half a year since the New Year? Navigating each month with you has been an honor. As a professional astrologer and transformation coach, I've noticed a common thread with people seeking answers by working with astrology in these unstable years. They all come when they're in the most challenging moments, wishing and hoping for a silver lining and wanting to know when it will pass. As we navigate Gemini Season, looking at situations from all sides rather than merely assuming is crucial. Being curious and open-minded is vital in mastering this season. Embracing diversity (hello, Pride Month!) and holding space and understanding for others by communication is the way Gemini rolls. No matter where you are in your journey, confused, uncertain, and just plain stuck…know that astrology can help you fill the gaps while gaining peace and self-awareness. Now, let's look at June's astrological forecast.

This month exhibits a delightful blend of happiness and opportunities. Mercury, the cosmic messenger, starts this month as it enters its home sign, Gemini. It enables us to get the conversations going at a comfortable speed and flow. A new moon in the social butterfly sign, Gemini, sets the scene for us to start anew, involving our ideas and even opening pathways in our love stories. What a great start as summer approaches. Then, Mars, the planet of drive and motivation, enters the stable sign Taurus, allowing us to build a solid foundation aligned with our future ambitions.

For the second half of the month, Venus and Mercury enter the nurturing sign Cancer, inviting us to hold space for conscientious-filled discussions and security in our connections. Things will begin to heat up as Vesta, the asteroid of devotion and keeper of the sacred flame, enters the fire sign Leo. It will reawaken our inner fire while igniting a new phase in our journey involving our devotion. The Sun's journey into maternal Cancer manifests a period of self-care and emotional needs. The full moon in Capricorn heralds a moment for you to analyze the state of your structures while letting go of the outmoded in your life. The month wraps up with the structure-oriented planet Saturn retrograde, which gives you a chance to contemplate the kind of life you have been building. Keep reading to understand what this all means for your personal June horoscope!

What To Expect In Your June Horoscope For 2024

May was epic with the solar flares...did you see that? It was a month filled with personal revelations regarding our self-worth and integrity moving forward. June will take these notions a notch higher regarding our communication with others and even analyzing our inner dialogues. It will be your chance to act on your goals (mid-year reset, anyone?) and witness the changes as you continue to master your thoughts. The cosmos begins its dance on Monday, June 3, when Mercury, the planet of communication and ideas, enters its dignity sign, Gemini. This period extends clarity and speed in our dialogue. While airy Gemini can spiral out in different directions, Mercury thrives in this sign, as it will help us feel more open and receptive to ideas from various sources. The more curious and unbiased you are, the better.

The new moon in expressive Gemini on Thursday, June 6, provides a perfect opportunity to socialize and attend events. As Venus is in exact alignment with the new moon, it can lead to experiences filled with love, laughter, and joy. It will be a fun night to remember. Book an outing with your friends or arrange a solo date—this cosmic event will be serendipitous. That weekend, Mars, the planet of motivation, enters the earthy sign Taurus on Sunday, June 9. This planetary ingress will slow things down at a comfortable pace. Ensuring you observe before diving headfirst into things that you may regret later. You will feel more at peace. For those who are impatient (guilty), get that yoga mat out or take long nature walks to work off that built-up steam.

Venus, the love planet, and Mercury enter Cancer on Monday, June 17, shifting our focus to deepen our connections with others while holding heart-to-heart conversations. These two power planets merging on the same day will ignite a breakthrough in your perception of love and values. Expressing your vulnerability will help you see where you stand in your relationship(s). The truth will set you free. Expect your heart to sing as Vesta, the asteroid of self-devotion and commitment, enters the sign Leo on Wednesday, June 19. This transit will ignite a stirring in your core, giving you the courage to step up and claim your happiness. The fire inside will burn stronger as you remain invested in your passion and grit. Allow yourself to take center stage and share your gifts. The world is waiting.

Waterworks Cancer season begins on Thursday, June 20, with the Sun moving into the sign of the crab. This cosmic event heralds the beginning of summer, and we begin to embody warmth, compassion, nurturing, and emotional sensitivity. Hosting potlucks or social outings can be a great way to commemorate your Cancer friends. Focus on building solid, authentic connections. We deserve to rebuild after the eclipse season back in April.

The full moon in Capricorn on Friday, June 21, will bestow us the ability to analyze the state of our structures. Many will realize what needs to be done to rebuild solidity after what has not been fully cultivated. This period can be a bit of a "Debbie Downer," with Saturn in intense opposition to Juno, the asteroid of marriage and committed partners. If you are in a relationship, you will understand what needs to improve or be at peace by cutting your losses and moving on.

Speaking of Saturn, this month concludes with it entering its retrograde phase on Saturday, June 29. Contemplate what kind of life you are building these next several months. Your awareness of karma will heighten, and becoming aligned with integrity and humility will alchemize. A review of your priorities and commitments will inevitably line up.

Aries

You're set for lots of movement this month, Aries. Mercury entering Gemini will power up your ideas and the ability to articulate your passions. Don't forget to jot down your ideas because your wires may cross. The new moon in Gemini presents an outlet to refine your talents, but it will require you to leave your comfort zone. Try something new. In time for Mars to enter your house of material resources, expect momentum to build as you learn to strategize at work. Remove possessions that weigh you down to make room for an abundant flow to start. When Venus and Mercury enter Cancer, the month will quiet down, helping you deepen the connection with your home and family. It is time to reflect inward and evaluate your emotional needs. The full moon in Capricorn will help you review what you have built in your career endeavors and whether its current direction aligns with you energetically. Saturn retrograde will help you do some soul searching, let go, and allow the Universe to reveal its message. Reflect before deciding.

Taurus

Get ready for a month filled with momentum and renewed purpose, Taurus. Venus aligned with the new moon in your house of resources and skills will level up your manifestation skills. Remember that it all begins by mastering your thoughts to make your dreams a reality. Clear out the old cobwebs and infuse your purpose by approaching a different direction. In time for Mars, the action planet entering your sign, this will infuse you with extended confidence and assertiveness. Name your terms. Venus and Mercury are in the house of ideas and local groups. If you have been experiencing a mental block or the lack of joie de vivre, expect your zest to power up. Expect serendipitous events as you visit new places locally or start a conversation. The full moon in Capricorn residing in your passion and creativity sector will conclude a project or love story. Investing time by focusing inward and connecting with your heart will guide you toward the right path. This Saturn retrograde in the next few months will grant you the space to review your aspirations and authentic connections. Trust and flow.

Gemini

Your birthday era continues, and this month, expect delightful surprises, Gemini. Mercury, your ruler planet, will amp up your conversation game. Lead with your dreams, not expectations. This Saturn retrograde will lift the veil on what you can do to attract the happy ending you always wanted. The new moon aligning with your sign signals a time for you to step into your true light and reveal your cards. You are ready. Cancer

Happy birthday, Cancer! Your season starts this month with the cosmos leveling up your manifestation skills. Mercury will go through your subconscious and dream realm in the first half of June. It will be a period for you to reflect inward and sift through what aligns with you authentically. The great news is that Mars in Taurus is happening in your networks and friendship circles, giving you the rein to take charge of your aspirations. Remember to attract, not chase after your desired results or connections with others. Expect magic to happen when Venus and Mercury enter your sign, making you an energy magnet. Romance is likely in the works as the love planet powers up your identity and appearance sector. Re-polish that dating app, or go out and mingle. The stars are aligned. The full moon in Capricorn is hosting a party in your house of partnerships and commitment. Single or taken, you will understand what needs to be released to make room for better relationship experiences. The great news is that Saturn retrograde will guide you to attract the desired outcome as you learn to read the cues of your intuition. Trust your gut.

Everything work-related will also take a turn for the better when Mars in Taurus resides in your career sector. Expect your confidence to rise, but don't go too high and mighty. Measure your moves, and the right opportunities will fall into your hands. Later this month, the Sun, Venus, and Mercury in Cancer will ignite changes in your subconscious patterns, enabling you to factor in the emotional needs behind your next steps. It is also a dreamy period that will ignite your intuitive abilities. Dearest gentle readers, we're less than a day away from seeing gorgeous co-stars Nicola Coughlan and Luke Newton grace our screens in Bridgerton Season 3. Is it obvious we've been yearning for their onscreen chemistry? We can't help it — "Polin" simply beckons!

If you've been enjoying seeing them on the red carpet and can't believe how well they work together, there's a reason for that — an amazing friendship! As gorgeous as these two are together, Nicola Coughlan and Luke Newton are pretty much besties IRL. You know we love talking about good friendships (here's looking at you Taylor Swift and Selena Gomez), so it's only right we honor two of our favorite Bridgerton co-stars.

Here's three super sweet reasons why they're friendship goals!

They're dance partners.

No, this isn't a joke. Nicola Coughlan and Luke Newton have been dance partners for — hold your breath — five years. Nicola first revealed this fun fact about their friendship during an interview with E! News.

As she shared why she and Luke were able to film the steamy scenes we'll be watching soon, she said, "We've actually been dance partners for five years. So we had a certain physical comfort level with each other which helps immensely."

Luke added, "You'd think filming a scene like that with someone...who has been your friend for like four years, would be a daunting experience, but actually it was a reassuring one."

Whew, I think I may need to check my temperature because those are still very hot answers 😮💨.

Support is at the center of their friendship.

These two know that being supportive is essential for most friendships to thrive, and they're certainly fond of being there for one another. Nicola shared a cute pic of the two last year on Instagram where she'd arrived to support Luke Newton during his run in The Shape of Things in London.

She captioned their candid picture, "Smashing it up on the London stage and I’m so proud, you’re the best @lukenewtonuk."

Similarily, Luke showed his support for Nicola when he wore a shirt by the nonprofit organization Choose Love. Nicole shared the sweet pic on Instagram and wrote , "I know you’ve been waiting and the latest @chooselovemodel is here
Thank you Luke for being the best and supporting this incredible charity who are supporting refugees in great need the world over."

They don't mind showing friendly PDA.

Does friendly PDA exist? Sure! Think about the last time you hugged your bestie without involving any romantic feelings? The same applies to Nicola Coughlan and Luke Newton. If you ask me, it seems like they're having fun during the press run for the third season of Bridgerton, but can you blame them?

Polin — the cute nickname Bridgerton fans have for Nicola Coughlan and Luke Newton— are way too cute to ignore. But, any theories you may have that they're secretly dating will have to be put on hold.

As of now, People reports they'e just friends and nothing more. Nicola even told Extra how she and Luke feel about the rumors. "We think it's really sweet ... because we truly love each other."

We know this doesn't mean you'll stop dreaming about Nicola Coughlan and Luke Newton being Hollywood's next 'It' couple, so we won't stop you. Just know that their friendship is equally beautiful and deserves to be respected!
